I really like the look of this mailbox but the locking feature seems kind of pointless. You can grab the mail from the top slot most of the time but you still have to unlock the front to check for smaller pieces. So it feels more like a nuisance than a safety feature. I do like the small slot for the name label on the front and it is overall a very unique design for an affordable price. Also there are small marks on the top lid where it was attached to the frame so if you're a perfectionist, that might bother you.

Some of these cheaper locking boxes can be forced open by merely deforming the case, this one cannot. As for pulling the mail back out of the slot I think that's a fault of nearly any mailbox with a similar design so that didn't factor into my decision. (interestingly enough a lack of finishing prep allows a fairly sharp edge to the slot so a prospective thief just mat get a nasty cut for his trouble- I sanded it down so my carrier wouldn't).
If I had some input to its design I'd probably add a little size to it, it's pretty small so any delivery more than a few pieces of mail fills it- and there is no magazine slot included. (on the same aisle I found some aluminum flats to make my own)
For that reason I deducted a star, otherwise it's a decent box at a fair price with no surprises.
