Bought it related to blocking the sun from my bedroom windows the heat is Tremendous hottest room in th house , I chose this product vs the heat film because it blocks more of the Rays allowing less heat . Could tell a remarkable difference when I put up one window treatment and held my hand up to the uncovered window vs the covered window , and the next day was even better I finally had a cool room! It was no longer unbarable heat box it felt cool. Unless your window film expert definitely need to people To get the job done. It was a process but went well with help definitely worth taking the time to do .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cjolly419 Great Quality Window Film
bought this film for some windows in my garage which gets quite hot in the summer and since installing the film can tell an immediate difference in the temperatures inside the garage after a hot day ! the product is a little difficult to install and you would definitely need a helper to make sure you get it fitted correctly on the windows but it was well worth the effort. A little pricey but it did three 36"X36" windows with some left over....thinking about putting some on the south facing part of my home bedroom windows where we get a lot of sun.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MikeOxshort WOW Super Easy
Let me start off by saying this was the first time I ever tried installing any type of window film. It was so easy. Don't let any of the other reviews deter you. JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS! If you cant follow instructions just pay someone else to do it. Its that simple. The product turned out great! Blocks all unwanted eyes during the day time. But beware you will need blinds when it gets dark out as the reflection follows the direction of the light.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sleepygiant13 Spend 20 minutes to read instructions/watch demo
I have a 3 clear glass inserts in my balcony railing and wanted to darken them up for some privacy. I bought the mirrored film and briefly glanced at the instructions before attempting to install - big mistake. I found the installation process cumbersome and my results were awful (lots of creases, bubbles, etc.). Going back to the drawing board, I decided to go to the Gila website and watch the demo videos which were a big help. Key tips: clean the window thoroughly, be generous with the application spray, cut the film at least an extra inch wider than needed on all sides (to be trimmed later), follow their squeegee technique, and put the video on your phone/tablet as you install. Although the film-peeling process was still a bit finicky (would help with two people), my results were 10 times better (bubbles and creases virtually gone), and you can barely see through the balcony from the street. Very nice result!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JonJ Not quite 15 feet
I have crank out casement windows that measure 2' x 5'. I thought I'd be able to get three 5' lengths out of the 3 foot x 15 foot roll, but it came up about 5 inches short (even when cutting to exact size, and not the extra 1 inch as instructions dictate. So why isn't there an extra 2" minimum in case you have a huge 3'x15' window... 15' 2" instead of 14' 8" ?)Sure, I could use the trimmed - extra pieces, but that would detract from the appearance. Not what I paid for. I will go back and get enough to finish the job as I am laying out the pieces and need two more. I've used window films before, and as long as you have a helper to help pull off the one layer and keep it from folding on itself, and the right tools, things go pretty quickly. I use the squeegee from the shower, or one used on cleaning windows. I use a small plastic applicator that came with some Bondo as well to touch up corners. Do not skimp on the spray solution: on the window and both sides of the film; try not to apply when in full hot sun light. Lower rating due to the short length.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by StillNeedShades Some notes regarding the night mirror effect, applicability...
Regarding the night time privacy, here are the things you should consider:
* Do you have outdoor lighting near the window where the film is being applied that comes on at night? If so, this will lessen the mirror effect and the visibility from outside in at night.
* Do you have shades or drapes you can close at night? I think this product is most useful for those who already have shading or drapes on their windows for night time and don't really need to look out the window at night (for example, home office).
Also, other tip, make sure there are no signs of damage on the box and no marks or crinks on the film before you unroll. If there are, go return it and get a new one, don't start with film that is already marked...

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SAM Not what I was looking for
I was hoping to have a solution for my large windows for some privacy during the day and the night.
This film is completely useless as night when the lights are on. you can see everthing inside the home plus it also has a mirror effect on the inside.
I will have to replace mine with a better frost film or something of that sort

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shaun Horrible product -
I bought two rolls and both were a horrible mistake. The product is rolled in the wrong direction causing it to not want to stay in place. With two people, you will still have a bad application experience. Home Depot will not take the rerun, don't waste your time on this product.
