Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by MrNiceGuy Good for day only
I bought this for privacy thinking that it would mirror everything from the outside only. But at night it mirrors the inside as well and the people can look inside your house as clear as day and you can't see them. It only works based on how light hits it. Not happy with the product. Even during the day they can still see inside if not enough light hits the window to reflect.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sue Easy to install, but passers-by stop to look into the mirror
I have installed this product for privacy issues (my windows are close to the sidewalk at eye level).
The installation was fairly easy, but I suggest practice putting it on and off on a few small squares and using a larger squigee for larger windows.
The only "bad" remark I have is that people passing by (especially young women) stop to look at their reflection in my windows. (Some fix their hair, makeup, clothes, take selfies, etc.). I find this annoying and wished it did not have a mirrored finish on the outside. But overall, it does its job as nothing inside my house can be seen from the outside, not even our big smiles or waves.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Kenny Product is full of imperfections instructions and kit faulty
The idea of the product is very good and when installed properly and with window film free of defects, the window treatment is wonderful. Unfortunately, with the instructions provided and the the purchased window trim kit, the installation of the window film for a relatively modest size window is awful. The single razor provided, is worthless and the scraper provided is so small is pathetic to use for a standard size window. Finally the window film is full of line imperfections(wiggles etc).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sleepygiant13 Spend 20 minutes to read instructions/watch demo
I have a 3 clear glass inserts in my balcony railing and wanted to darken them up for some privacy. I bought the mirrored film and briefly glanced at the instructions before attempting to install - big mistake. I found the installation process cumbersome and my results were awful (lots of creases, bubbles, etc.). Going back to the drawing board, I decided to go to the Gila website and watch the demo videos which were a big help. Key tips: clean the window thoroughly, be generous with the application spray, cut the film at least an extra inch wider than needed on all sides (to be trimmed later), follow their squeegee technique, and put the video on your phone/tablet as you install. Although the film-peeling process was still a bit finicky (would help with two people), my results were 10 times better (bubbles and creases virtually gone), and you can barely see through the balcony from the street. Very nice result!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kitkatkala Love it
Bought it related to blocking the sun from my bedroom windows the heat is Tremendous hottest room in th house , I chose this product vs the heat film because it blocks more of the Rays allowing less heat . Could tell a remarkable difference when I put up one window treatment and held my hand up to the uncovered window vs the covered window , and the next day was even better I finally had a cool room! It was no longer unbarable heat box it felt cool. Unless your window film expert definitely need to people To get the job done. It was a process but went well with help definitely worth taking the time to do .

Excellent product for various applications. I have used the film for years with no complaints. Applying the film can be tricky. Take your time. Use plenty of water and be careful not to let the film touch each other or it is ruined.

I love the privacy afforded by the mirrored effect. However, for windows above 8' in height you may need two people to apply the film. It can be labor intensive and frustrating for inexperienced people like me.
