Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by todd Looks like a mirror inside your home - bye bye view
The tint was darker than I thought it would be for a "light" colored window film but that was ok. We have 5 sliding doors and windows that was the sun all day so we wanted to reduce the heat coming into our home but wanted to keep our view of the lake we live on. So I spent all afternoon installing the product and it was not that hard just takes time and patience.
Then night feel and the problem reveled itself. Around sunset as it grew dim we started to notice we could not see outside of the windows. When it got dark you cannot see anything outside! The tint at night has a mirrored surface that faces inward. Bye bye view. So we tore it all down that night.
If you are ok with the inside of your mirror turning into a mirror and not being able to see outside in the evenings then the product is fine but if you have any view at all at night it will be gone.

It work as expected to reduce glare and heat from the sun light thru windows. I now still can enjoy a sunny day in the house without having sunglass on.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Elf Good, but larger size needed for sliding doors
MyMy townhouse has windows facing eastand west, and the house would get pretty hot. I ordered this film but realized I didn't get a wide enough size for sliding glass doorsdoors, so I exchanged it. The new roll was enough for both doors with a but left over (which I am going to use on some smaller window panes). I did one door by myself, but it is easier with help. It didn't go on perfectly on the top edges, but it looks pretty good, and does the job. And I think Some of the reflective-ness prevents people from seeing inside.
Also, definitely get the applicationkit.

I was afraid the installation would be a bear. We were covering two panels of a sliding glass door. I watched the installation video several times before the job. It was well worth the time and made the installation go smoothly. The size of the doors turned out not to be a problem with two people on the job. The final result is really good. No bubbles or problem spots. We are very pleased with the light tint and we've eliminated the problem of UV destruction of drapes and flooring on these east-facing glass doors.
In addition, the manager of our Home Depot store assured me that if I wasn't satisfied with the result he would refund my purchase price. How about that!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NMDim it's just awesome!
I'm very pleased with this product, we have a huge window facing East and we get good hours of sun, you can imagine how hot was this room. Using the film on the windows just solved the problem, I still have the clear view through the window, but less heat. Easy to install!

Save your money this horrible product. Just buy sun darkening screens. You will spend a little more but well worth it.

After reviewing online instructions, installation was pretty simple, but 2 people are definitely recommended for the spraying of the film! My tip is to have a new utility knife blade and to err on the longer side when cutting film to size. After applying film to window, trimming is a breeze with the sharp utility knife. My only wish is that the reflective properties of the film when looking out at night from the inside, was not so mirror-like. But it does the job of reducing the amount of heat coming in from my south side facing windows.
