When we first picked up a pair of these a few years ago, we were very happy with their look and quality. Now, about three years later, I come back with a warning to any prospective buyer. These are inexpensive for a reason. Mine have rusted right through near the bottom and are now held up mostly by the plants that have climbed them. Had I known this sort of thing would happen, I would have done more to prep them for my garden environment. Like coating them with a nice coat of water proof paint or spray seal.

We wre in the middle of a total backyard redo. We built a retaining wall in front of our brick fence wall. Planted with a variety of plants. We needed trellises for climbing plants to go up and over fence and wanted something nice to look at in the mean time till the plants are full grown. We ordered nine online and picked up at store next day. Went back for a tenth one the day after that to complete the look. They do not come with any tiype of fastener to wall, my husband took care of that with some cabling clips and mansonary screws. They look beautiful and are very functional too. They are not a flat trellis they have a slight curve to them so it makes it very easy to work plants trough and they have air from all sides. Would recommend for a pretty and functional trellis. With a little work could even be hooked together to form a free standing divider or tower to and more fun to a garden or patio area. Very pleased with our purchase.

I plan to get several more of these. I used this one for my pomegranate bush. It looks nice against the stone wall. It was easy to install, and the price was reasonable. The black finish is a lot more elegant than white plastic, no?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by RedmondGardener A very sturdy and attractive trellis
This is a very sturdy trellis that looks great. It's really hard to tell in the picture, but it is slightly curved from back to front, which adds some visual interest. You can install it either direction depending on whether you want it to appear concave or convex from the front.
The metalwork is strong throughout and will definitely hold up to the clematis I am growing on it. The legs are also very sturdy, but are not super long (maybe about 10-12"), so if your soil is soft, you may want to use some additional support to keep it from tipping over. It's taller than I expected, but this is a good thing!
Definitely worth more than what they are charging for it, and it's ready to use with no assembly required. A great find!

I've seen these in other catalogs and they can be expensive. I got mine to support some climbing roses that lost their trellis support when I replaced a wood fence with vinyl. I didn't want to nail anything to the new fence and this solves the problem nicely. The two stakes that hold it in the ground are plenty long and the curve is useful as you can place it curving towards a fence or wall for additional contact. Mine arrived rust free and undamaged. I'm realistic that some rust might show after a while but that's to be expected. A very nice product for what you pay.
