I have a vertical arm (coming out of the ceiling) in my shower. Can I take the arm off of this shower head and attach the shower head to what I already have?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. That shower head would be compatible with your ceiling shower arm so you can use it with what you have.

Answer:
I don't know about the 18" extension, but the shower head does pivot. However, the head really needs to be parallel to the ground, IMHO. The water comes out like rain, not like a spray. Tilting it to any position other than 'flat', still results in the water falling straight down.

Thank you for your question. the shower head is adjustable and is not fixed. You would have to purchase any extensions separately but you do need to make sure any extent ion you do purchase is strong enough to hold the faucet head at that length.

These two questions are specific to Model 58008-0401. It is listed as chrome finish but question #3 (with 4 answers) are all saying it is brushed nickel??? Is the shower head mounted on a swivel ball or is it fixed in the straight down position?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. This unit is available in both Chrome and Brushed Nickel so that is probably why you see comments for both of those finishes and the head does swivel as well.

Answer:
The shower head is standard 1/2" pipe threading. That being said, I suspect you would like a 'matching' extension, and not a piece of iron pipe extending out of your wall. So...yes, you can add an extension using a piece of threaded pipe and a coupling, but if you're looking for a matching extension, or a longer piece than comes with the kit, I'm not aware of where you can purchase one.

Answer:
The bar comes with it. I wouldn't add a longer one because the shower head is very large. Probably will need a brace if you use any thing longer than what it comes with and than it won't look as good...just my opinion.

Answer:
You could but it may look as expected. Depending on the length, it may need to be supported to the roof to keep it steady.

Thank you for your question. You could purchase a longer shower arm separately if you want to have it further away from the wall. You don't want to go too much further though as it might affect the water pressure coming out of the shower head.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what we needed We were looking for a rain shower head and this was perfect May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Big Big and sturdy. Good chrome and easy clean tips. Need to really tighten due to it's weight if using a multi-position arm. December 17, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Met my expectations I bought this showerhead to install on an outside shower near our pool. The showerhead comes with a 12-inch arm and a wall flange. It looks very nice, and is very easy to install. You will need a thread seal product, like teflon tape, and an adjustable wrench, but that's it. It looks good and works well, but seems a little overpriced for what you get. Given that its an outside installation, only time will tell how long it will hold up! September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Showerhead The head is large and was easy to install. Water pressure about the same as standard shower head. September 1, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice looking. We loved it, but unfortunately it did not fit in our shower. Four inch drop was too low. Measure before you buy. Couldn't give it five stars because we didn't actually install it. August 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good price and nice finish I needed just the showerhead. It was the size and finish that I desired. it was much less expensive buying this product than just the showerhead by other manufacturers. The finish looks good and it mounted to my 1/2" overhead pipe very easily. I used pipe tape to make it easy to screw-on. If you do this, don't wrap it too high onto the threads. I had to remove my showerhead and use less tape. January 9, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Recommended with qualifications Product looks excellent and was intuitively easy to install, except that the instructions did not mention the included screen and flow control--where do they go? in what order? The arm and flange seem to be of good quality. The showerhead itself seems to be plastic, not metal, and time will tell whether that is an appropriate substitution. (I have a dual-flush toilet also by Glacier Bay, with plastic parts including chrome-look plastic operating buttons, and it operates exceptionally well.) September 4, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by poor the tube should have been longer about three inch my face is all most against the wall can i get an extent ion thank you sebastian December 24, 2013
