Thank you for your question. From the bottom of the faucet plate to the top of the handle is 7 1/4 inches. I would add another 2 inches to make sure you have significant clearance for the handle movements when turning the faucet on and off.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value! This is a solid faucet. Heavy feel, no plastic parts as far as I can tell. Good quality finish and great design. I don't think it came with the deck plate pictured (I didn't use one anyway) so you may want to look into that if you are covering a 4" 3 hole installation :) July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this faucet This is a beautiful faucet and easy to install. The copper lines were slightly crushed but did not cause a problem with the operation of the faucet. Be sure to take off the screen like the instructions tell you as alot washed out when we first operated it. If you don't that will clog up the screen. The black granite top and toilet paper/towel bar are also from Home Depot. The toilet paper holder and towel bar are the matching ones to the faucet. September 2, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by High end look, mechanically flawed Quality wise this is a good value, but I returned it because of a poorly designed pop-up lever. I'm talking about the metal rod on the back of the faucet that is used to raise and lower the sink stopper. The metal rod is BENT--and not by accident, because it is shown that way in the instructions. I suppose this is what they had to do to make it functional. The back of the faucet has a curve to it, and because it's designed to be a single-hole install, the supply lines, mounting post and pop-up rod all have to be squeeze through a single opening. When the rod slides up and down, it's metal on metal. The rod doesn't go straight down. It's goes downward at a slight angle. Once I had it installed and tried it out, it was obvious that it was always going to be a disappointment. Cool looking faucet but really lacking on functional level. For the same money, I was able to buy a single-handle grohe. March 8, 2016
