Answer:
minimum of 70", depending on your height. Would recommend 72-76" if you have the enclosure and ceiling heights for it.

Answer:
It varies with your situation. No real standard. It is made to raise the shower head higher.

Answer:
Hello Angie, the product does not specify a height. If you are removing an old shower arm you can place this is the same spot. Or if installing new the installer or homeowner can choose the height. Thank you.

My shower head was placed at around 8.5 feet and I'd like it lower. Thanks!

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect height if you're tall At 6'2" I was tired of bending over to rinse my head, this shower arm raised my shower head up enough for me to stand up straight October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by works, but not a remarkably well designed arm quality was good. The problems I have with this design are a these; The end that screws to the wall fitting is too short on that straight area. I have a standard plastic enclosure and the bend was too close to the inside of the enclosure for the cover piece to fit correctly. At the shower head end, the angle is not sharp enough of a bend for the shower head to point away from the opposing shower wall. October 4, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not quite the right part for my job The shape is good if you need the shower spray to go higher up the wall. I needed it to go lower. The hook on the end points the wrong way. It would be much better if it wad just a straight 90 degree end. I couldn't cut and re-thread the end because of the radius of the hook. August 30, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wanted to love it and yet... Installs simply. Works like a champ. Great for tall gals like me who are sick of doing back bends to rinse hair. Only downfall is that most every shower caddy will not stay on this style without falling forward and looking messy and "off." If the extension piece that comes out of the wall could be 8" before curving up... Viola! Alas, that is not the case. So you may have tall but your bath products will be sitting on the tub ledge. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great shower conversion I used the shower head extension to create a waterfall with a hand held sprayer from a shower bar with a fixed head and a hand held shower sprayer. I had to add a 1/2 in female coupler to attach the shower extension to the shower bar. Because this project used products from 2 vendors, there was limited help in the store September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So happy I found this For the last two years, I've felt like Will Ferrell in "Elf" when I used my shower. After two years of bumping my head on the shower head and dreading the expense of ripping out tile and reconfiguring plumbing, I came across this product. After a 15 minute installation, my life has changed for the better. I sing the praises of whoever invented this simple fix. We 6 footers salute you! March 24, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Shower Arm I was installing a LARGE shower head and hand held. I did not have the strength to remove the old shower are. We had remodeled our shower several years ago and the plumber put the shower head higher for my tall husband. After surveying the situation the type of shower head I purchased with the new shower arm would have made it impossible for me to reach the hand held.... so I did not use this product :-( February 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I was looking for! It was easy to install, took no time to do that, there where to options for the length of the product. June 28, 2016
