Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CY Strong Grip - works great
Glacier Bay has a great product here - EASY to install and take off in seconds. Peace of mind comes from the indicator "lights" to show the suction has a good grip so you can use it safely. So good, I bought two.

One would think that companies would make their grab bars fit showers and baths that use 4" tiles, a pretty common size tile used in those applications. This product relies on suction to secure the grab bar to the surface. If you have 4" tiles, 12" is not long enough to get the suction cups squarely in the middle of both tiles due to grout lines. Consequently one of the suction cups rests on a grout line and does not adhere as well as the other one that lies completely on the tile surface. It would fit great on both tiles if it were 1/2"- 3/4" longer. How come they do not make it this length???? If you have an uninterrupted, smooth surface, then the bar will adhere quite firmly. The product appears to be well made, but only time will tell if it lasts.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wallybygolly Poorly designed for ceramic tile.
The box label reads 12 inches, which would put each suction cup nearly centered on its 4 and 1/4 inch tile. However, the product length is only 11 and 1/2 inches which places one suction cup partially on the tile grout thereby allowing no suction. If you fiddle with it and tile grout is narrow enough, you can position both suctions cups so that a very small edge of each cup touches the grout, then It will maintain suction. The ideal cup center line length should be 8 and 1/2 inches which would allow positioning each cup in the exact center of its corresponding tile. But,the actual center line distance of the cups is only 7 and 7/8 inches. So, increasing that by 5/8 inches would place the cups well away from tile grout. Poor design and incorrect labeling. The product is 1/2 inches short of the advertised length. Even a novice designer should know that the center line distance between cups needs to be a multiple of the tile size plus a fraction of an inch for each grout line crossed.. ..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ron Holds/suctions well to smooth surfaces
I am using this product to help assist with the closure of an enclosed stall glass shower door it holds great on any glass or smooth finished surfaces. This is not meant to be used as a support of your full body weight. You will need a large flat surface for the suction cups to hold steady for the use of this suction type handle. I would think you could use this if your refrigerator door handle broke off and you needed a quick handle replacement or maybe use it to hold a window steady in place that you are installing on your house.

I actually bought 3 of these. We have a fiberglass surround in our bathtub. These really grip like crazy. My wife uses these after having had a 4th back surgery. She is much more confident getting in and out of the tub. We highly recommend these.
