no water coming through head

I've hooked up the shower head - very basic - and no water will flow through the head? I don't get it...

Thank you for your recent inquiry with Glacier Bay. There should have been a piece of yellow tape on one end of the hose advising you of where it needs to be connected to. Try and unscrew the hose and simply reverse the hose connections and see if this doesn't resolve the issue you are experiencing.

Customer Reviews

2-Spray Fixed Showerhead in Chrome is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good build quality, weak flow The build quality of this shower head is very good -- despite that it is made in China. Good solid metal for most bits. Installation was a matter of minutes. I welcomed the inclusion of a small strip of Teflon tape. However, once installed, this shower head only permitted minimal water flow. I know in recent years there have been laws enacted limiting water flow from shower heads. I don't know if this is the deal with every new shower head. However, some shower heads are so restrictive that it is difficult to rinse completely. This is one. If the water flow were more reasonable, I wouldn't hesitate to give this more stars.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible - steer clear I've been a homeowner for 40+ years so this is not the first shower head I have swapped out by any stretch of the imagination. But the best way to describe this is when you come across something so bad that you think, 'this must be a gag, right...' Don't even waste your money. The pressure on the 'low' setting is so bad you basically watch the water lob out of the head in a lazy arc. On the 'higher' basically watch the water lob out of the head in a not so lazy arc. Bad enough that I simply shut it off and went to the guest bathroom to finish showering. The only reason it has one star from me is that you can't complete a review without assigning a star.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warning: may not produce flow Upon correct installation the product failed to produce a flow greater than a dribble. It was discovered that the manufactured fitting had a hole no larger than the width of a screw (3mm). The product had to be modified to increase the diameter of the hole to 5-6mm to allow for a functional product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from terrible until you remove the restrictor The restrictor disk is way too aggressive. The holes in it are way too small. The dribble of water made me think there were two other people in the house taking a shower. Having had this problem before, I pulled out the thing and now it works fine. It is solid brass and the mechanism is OK, but there really isn't that much difference between the settings. As usual I spent way too much time in Home Depot looking for a plain old shower head. After spending 10 - 15 minutes searching the aisle with the standard bath fixtures, I found the shower heads on an end-cap. Aargh!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't forget to remove the flawed rubber flow restricter! One of the best shower heads ever. all of the reviews about it are true, however no one seemed to notice the obvious here, there is a large black rubber flow restricter on the inside of the threads. I simply pried it out and enjoyed my new shower stream. the only other positive reviewer must have gotten one without the flow restricter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Low pressure The spray pressure is way to low, and the adjustment has minimal effect.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Forget This Item After installing this product I was fully expecting to enjoy a wonderful, forceful shower. Was I disappointed. The water pressure seemed to have been reduced by about 50% from the previous "builders special" that we had from day one. I tried adjusting the flow with the flip handle but it didn't do anything but reduce the flow. I really feel that this purchase was a waste of money.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Showerhead I had expected more force at least on one of the main settings. I have great water pressure with the new piping. I might have as well just purchased $5 showerhead with less volume and higher pressure.
