Answer:
According to the installation instructions that comes with this product, the GPM minimum (with restricting washer in place) is 2.5 gpm. I have no idea what the water flow is (in gpm) without the restricting washer, but it is a lot more. The gpm info (without the restricting washer) isn't listed on the instruction sheet. You might try looking it up on Glacierbay.com for shower heads.

Answer:
For an accurate answer, you would need to contact a good, commercial plumber or the "water department" for your city. The flow rate depends on a number of things. For example, if you live in an older neighborhood, your flow rate will be reduced somewhat due to the age and build-up inside of the pipe(s) supplying water.

Answer:
Thank you for your recent inquiry with Glacier Bay. There should have been a piece of yellow tape on one end of the hose advising you of where it needs to be connected to. Try and unscrew the hose and simply reverse the hose connections and see if this doesn't resolve the issue you are experiencing.

Just a guess here, but you might try loosening the connector at the rear of the shower head. If this doesn't achieve your desired results, you might remove the head and check out the restricting washer. It may have gotten twisted and blocks the water flow.

You may want to remove the shower head and check that the "restriction washer" inside hasn't been twisted out of shape to block the water flow. You may want to remove the shower head and check that the "restriction washer" inside hasn't been twisted out of shape to block the water flow. This happened to me #once# because I was in a hurry to install the shower head and I believe that I tightened the device too tight. When I removed the head, the washer appeared to have gotten itself caught up into the threads of the shower head. Once I removed it and reinstalled it, and slowly tightened up the head onto the water pipe, things went smoothly after that. The water flowed nicely as expected with no further problems. However, I have since removed that washer completely from the head, because we wanted more water flow. The head now works great!! I hope this helps. Read Less

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 48 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Low pressure The spray pressure is way to low, and the adjustment has minimal effect. August 6, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very good showerhead Earlier this year I purchase Kingston faucets (Bath, sink, etc.) - all good quality except for the showerhead. I purchase this shower head to replace the Kingston and it works great. If you want a standard showerhead, you can't go wrong with this one. June 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good build quality, weak flow The build quality of this shower head is very good -- despite that it is made in China. Good solid metal for most bits. Installation was a matter of minutes. I welcomed the inclusion of a small strip of Teflon tape. However, once installed, this shower head only permitted minimal water flow. I know in recent years there have been laws enacted limiting water flow from shower heads. I don't know if this is the deal with every new shower head. However, some shower heads are so restrictive that it is difficult to rinse completely. This is one. If the water flow were more reasonable, I wouldn't hesitate to give this more stars. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible - steer clear I've been a homeowner for 40+ years so this is not the first shower head I have swapped out by any stretch of the imagination. But the best way to describe this is when you come across something so bad that you think, 'this must be a gag, right...' Don't even waste your money. The pressure on the 'low' setting is so bad you basically watch the water lob out of the head in a lazy arc. On the 'higher' setting....you basically watch the water lob out of the head in a not so lazy arc. Bad enough that I simply shut it off and went to the guest bathroom to finish showering. The only reason it has one star from me is that you can't complete a review without assigning a star. March 1, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Showerhead I had expected more force at least on one of the main settings. I have great water pressure with the new piping. I might have as well just purchased $5 showerhead with less volume and higher pressure. May 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful Water Pressure The plus side of this is that it is solid metal. However, this has the worst water pressure of any showerhead I have ever owned. If you have long hair there will not be enough pressure to get the soap rinsed out. I would not recommend this to anyone. March 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Simple Showerhead! I had to replace my showerhead so I went to several websites to look at reviews to find the best rated one. After doing this I saw that Home Depot had the one that I wanted. When I got there, it was not stocked there. I was very discouraged, but just wanted a simple, but sturdy showerhead with good output. I took a chance on this one (it was about 3 times cheaper than the one I went to buy) and am very happy with it. It is exactly what I was looking for, at a much cheaper price. First, it is built to last...solid chrome plated brass (I'm not sure about the person who reviewed this that the insert was plastic, as mine is all metal). It was incredibly easy to install...no leaks. I only turn my flow on about 3/4 of what I used to and I get 5 times the spray. This is a great no frills showerhead at a great price. Better than ones that I have spent 3 times as much. February 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by really does the job, reduces water flow but adequate for a good shower, easy to install This is really a top quality item, does what I wanted it to do, price is right and even my wife could install it. December 8, 2015
