It is a concrete slab floor and old school tile sheet. I will put either new tile on top or a linoleum flooring on top of the old flooring

Answer:
I prefer to put the flooring under the toilet. Gives a clean even surface for the new toilet.

Answer:
Bricks,
I believe your best bet is to put the toilet ON TOP of the new flooring. Down the road, when you replace the toilet, the "footprints" of the two units may differ, and your flooring will be able to compensate whether it be larger or smaller. If you have any question or concerns, please reach out to our partners at The Home Depot at 1-877-527-0313. Regards, -JBS with NAMCE-Glacier Bay.

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Unfortunately, please partner with the local store in the plumbing dept as online has limited resources to assist. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for shopping Home Depot.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice toilet for a good price Easy to install, everything included and flushes great June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for our small closet bathroom We had a small closet bathroom and this was perfect fit! May 7, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Total Piece of Junk by Glacier Bay I should have read previous reviews - we all say that! It took 3 weeks after a very professional installation, the tank started leaking into the bowl. The plastic contraption is producing "hissing" sounds 24/7 - and every 30 minutes the contraption allows for 1-2 inches of water to refill. Then another 30 minutes of "hissing", then refilling - all day and all night. So, per Glacier Bay responses to others here, I am supposed to call their toll-free number and go thru a plumber crash-course, learning the names of their cheap plastic parts, twist them, tightened them, lift them, release them to some imaginary measurements of 1/8 of an inch?? Is this what you get for installing a so-called water saver? Do yourself a favor and spend $30 more with a real brand, not this plastic knockoff - and get something that will actually work. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by No complaints I just bought the item and had it installed about a week ago since my other toilet's tank cracked while attempting to replace the valve, and flapper(it was an old toilet from the 80s). So far I've had no complaints. It works great, and it doesn't use nearly as much water as the old one. Overall, I'm satisfied. Not bad for $88. I would definitely recommend it. August 16, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A Toilet To Avoid We put three of these in a rental property. This was in 2012 and I write this assuming the product has not changed. Spend a little more money and get something better. - The internals are non standard, so I had to replace everything when they started to fail. - The seat connection is poor and two of the seats came loose. - The tank to base connection is a cheap wing nut and two of the tanks had loose tanks (no leaks, but a concern. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good, basic and simple Easy install, everything included for low cost. May need to get a thicker (Jumbo) wax ring if your flange is under the flooring... Also the plastic seat tends to pinch legs when getting up. Needing to upgrade to a better (higher quality) one. August 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good for the price This is very good, especially for the price. Flush good with so little water. The only problem with me is that it's too tall for me. I like to brush my teeth sitting on the toilet (I brush for a long time, massaging the gum with my brush), but have to get up before I am done because my butt hurts. I am 5'1". If you are one inch taller than me, you should be fine. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the money It's not a powerful a flush as a American Standard but it gets the job done. Water level is more shallow as well. August 16, 2016
