Customer Questions & Answers

How do you mount this to the wall? Do you have to hit a stud to support it? Or can it be mounted to plastic anchors drilled into the dry wall? ?

Is there a manual on how to install this unit? How many anchors are needed?
Asked by: yardman
YOu can mount it flush to the wall but you have to drill your own holes as it does not come pre drilled. We drilled 2 holes in each corner top and bottom and used plastic anchors as it is not near a stud. We also used 2 regular drywall screws in the center top and bottom making 6 holes to be drilled altogether.n

I just purchased this item and unpacked it. There are no shelf brackets! How do I get them?

Asked by: OC92675
If you look again in the packig box, you may find the clear shelf brackets packed in a small bag in the same bag as the knobs for the doors. If you can't find them, buy brackets that are called Shelf Support Pegs size 3/16" Item # U-10170 at Home Depot

23 in. W x 28 in. H x 6-1/2 in. D Bathroom Storage Wall Cabinet with Shelf in White is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Two of them really helped with a small bathroom storage. I bought two of them for my small bathroom since I needed some storage. The first one installed behind the door on the wall because it was a perfect size, and fits quite well. I used four sheet rock anchors placed on each corner where the backing is doubled. It has been on the wall for a couple months with a substantial load in it and it is still solid and all in one piece. THIS one is all in one piece and is holding together. The second one replaced the old one over the toilet, which looks a lot better and matches the first one. It was mounted the same way, four anchors in the sheet rock located in each corner. This one too has a load in it and the body is holding together fine. And yes there is a HOWEVER, the hinges are stripped and you have to catch the door first then get what you need, then put the hinge back in its place then close the door, and do it again next time you need something. The cabinets have European hinges so when I repair it ,it will make it easier. Also the door milling is not exact, it waves back and forth where the raised panel is and looks a bit strange at times. I cant fix this since it would destroy the melamine covering the sub-straight, so I will live with it. To recap, they are not bad for the money and do serve the purpose well. I would buy them again because they really helped with my problem. If I have to repair one of them, so be it. I wish I got these years ago. Thanks for reading. I am also sorry about the picture orientation, there isn't much room for pictures.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clean looking but cheap This was having a promotion when I purchased a few pieces by the collection and when it arrived I learned why. Doors don't line up well, shelving is difficult to fit and it seems overall cheap. I don't plan to keep much in it so I feel it will hold up well but I would not recommend to anyone who has children or will use this often.

The other was a Simon brand cabinet and I preferred the ease of mounting of that one over this one and think the other one looks like a better quality but they were relatively similar in assembly and mounting and I am happy with the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ok quality for the price This surface mount medicine cabinet is ok for the price. It is decent quality and I'd say worth the $60 considering it has a smooth white laminated surface and decent looking metal handles. The hinges fold inside and allow the doors to open within the width of the cabinet, so it can be hung in a corner against two walls. The cabinet exact dimensions are: (H) 28 2/16 x (W) 23 3/16 x (D) 6 9/16 without the handles. The cabinet's interior space is 5.5 inches deep. The shelving heights are: 8" from the very bottom (open) shelf to the next one and 18" overall height inside with one adjustable shelf. Mine came with all the hardware inside. The store had a damaged unit on the shelf so they offered me an additional shelf and extra hardware. The hardware consists of two handles with bolts to secure them and 4 plastic shelf pegs. No mounting hardware or wall screws are included. Installation is fairly easy, but does require drilling holes in the unit to mount it to the wall. Usually, inside the cabinet there is a bar going across (left to right) through which you drill and screw through to attach the unit to the wall. It provides a stronger support and sits more secure. This unit however didn't have that. Instead, the manufacturer doubled up on the thin backing material in two areas (top & middle) through which they advise to drill/screw though. I was a bit skeptical about it being very secure and holding up well, so I got 6 thick screws and matching anchors along with 6 big washers to hold up the cabinet. I lined up the cabinet where I wanted it and drilled (through the cabinet) 3 holes along the top and 3 holes towards the bottom, both where the double backing is. Installed the anchors into the wall, put the cabinet back up and secured it with the big screws and washers. Now it feels safe and secure on the wall. See my pictures. It seems that based on older reviews, there may have been different styles available under the same product page. So hopefully my review helps clarify the design, size and installation questions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't do it I ordered this online and picked it up in store. I didn't even take it home. I returned it immediately as soon as I saw it. The associates went to get a mew one for me but it was the same. This came already put together. But whoever put ALL of them together did a terrible job. The Home Depot associate checked all the ones they had and they were all the same. Or there was no supervision or quality check. The doors are installed wrong. There is a huge gap that I can put my pointer finger through.. and when u open the cabinet door.. u barely could bc the whole thing is put together poorly and basically wrong. The gap is so big and the other end comes out so far that u can't open the cabinet doors. What a joke.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest cabinet I ever installed I purchased two of the cabinets to replace over-the-toilet shelving. The cabinets come pre-assembled...all you need to do is hang on the wall and attach the doorknobs. The lower shelf is deep enough and tall enough for 3 triple-size rolls of toilet paper, and the adujustable shelf inside the cabinet allows you to store almost any size can (Lysol) or beauty products.

It fell apart (bottom shelf broke through the screws) before we even mounted it to the wall. We had drilled holes in the back for mounting, but I don't think we knocked it around that hard. I knew it was made of a particle board, but seems like it was made of cardboard!
