Can it be hooked up with a garbage disposal(1HP) if I use it in kitchen?

Is the sink strong enough to hook up a garbage disposal?
Asked by: Jane
Jane, We would not recommend the installation of a garbage disposal to this laundry sink. Thanks,

Can you hook something up to make it self contained?

I am looking for a self contained sink to be used outdoors or indoors on locations that don't have running water. Can't I hook this up to a couple gallon water jugs to use
Asked by: William
William, Thank you for your inquiry. We can confirm that the Glacier Bay 27.5 in. Composite Laundry Sink is not set up to be a self-contained vanity and sink. Also, we would not recommend installing the vanity ourdoors as we can confirm that the frame of the vanity is constructed out of engineered wood with a laminate overlay; the cabinet is not manufactured to withstand the outdoor elements. Best Regards.

How far is the drain from the sides of the sink?

The sink we want to replace is in the corner of our utility room.
Asked by: LittleCher
LittleCher, Thank you for your inquiry. We can confirm that the distance of the drain from the left edge to the center of the drain is going to be 13.74 in. and the distance from the front edge to the center of the drain is going to be 10.49 in. Best Regards.

Is a right side faucet available yet??

It has been a couple of years since the question has been asked and I would consider purchasing this product if the faucet is also available on the right side of the sink, as that would work for the plumbing situation in my mudroom/ laundry room. More of their (Glacier Bay) product would sell if the options were not so limited. It seems silly not to manufacture the sink with a right side faucet and sink with a left side faucet.
Asked by: Birdie
No, the same model is not made with a right side faucet at this time. Thank you for reaching out & for the feedback on the item.

How far does the faucet pull out from the base?

How far does the faucet pull out from the base?
Asked by: kj
There is a weight on the hose to make the faucet retract after you extend it. That weight can be adjusted to give you a little over 2 feet extension, and still have the faucet retract with no problem.

27.5 in. W x 21.8 in. D Composite Laundry Sink is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 124.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful sink! Don't be afraid to DIY Our laundry room is finished and is also used an as office. We plan to add a toilet as well so wanted this to look more like a bathroom sink. For that it's perfect. I also like that our laundry detergent is now hidden out of view. Other than having to modify the bottom to accommodate our sink-to-floor drain pipe, installation was a snap! I'm usually afraid of plumbing as a DIYer but this could not have been easier. I used my existing s-trap and the drain lined up easily, which I was thankful for. Quality is just okay. The cabinet itself feels sturdy but the sink and faucet are rather flimsy. The plastic legs are pathetic as well but I expected all of this from other reviews.

The sink itself is fine, but the drain is not the lowest part of the tub, so there will always be standing water. I've been in contact with the manufacturer trying to get a tub that drains properly for two months. I returned the original sink to the store and got a replacement, but that had the same defect. The manufacturer sent me two more tubs, but all had the same issue. I went to Home Depot a few weeks later and opened one of the boxes, but it too had the defect. That's five tubs I've inspected, all with manufacture dates since Nov 2016. I'm still attempting to get a resolution for this. For $200 you should get a sink that drains properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Value for the Price The sink was installed by our plumber. It fits perfectly in our laundry room. The cabinet gives me storage space for my detergents, The sprayer arm, which pulls up, is very convenient for cleaning things in the sink. I liked the idea that you could have a spray or a stream of water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Laundry Sink This is a very nice laundry sink unit that comes with most everything that you need to install. The faucet is really nice and seems to be of high quality. The only thing that I don't like is that the area where the faucet mounts to the sink is as thin as the rest of the sink and it should be thicker to properly support the heavy faucet. It stands up properly but if you are too rough with it I'm sure that you could break the faucet right off of the sink.

Looks great.. but..... the drain sets higher than the rest of the sink which means only one thing. You have a pool of water on each side of the drain. The sink will always hold lots of water..... needs to be re-designed..... Would not recommend this product ....

This is an ill designed sink assembly... the faucet provided is made for a center mount. The hot water supply line is about six inches too short to connect. The solution is to require the customer to purchase a $6 hose to connect the hot water supply. Note that the drain is centered in the sink. The faucet is not. Spoke to an associate about this defect in the design... she replied that there are NO PLUMBING STANDARDS for water supply and drain locations on the wall. What a crock.

I thought I'd try this out given that its cabinet feature makes for a neat appearance (that's what the 2 stars are for). However, I returned it because the sink material just wouldn't have been sturdy enough for my needs---just too flimsy. Also, one of the leveling feet were missing in the packaging. I went with a Mustee 18F instead; no cabinet, but sturdier all around (although nothing can beat the old concrete work sink we had to replace in our remodel!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sink Great sink, faucet, and cabinet. I was concerned because of the really low price of under $200, but the quality is excellent. It is nice and big and will make cleanups after painting a lot easier than the small bathroom sink it replaced. The install was simple although I did need to extend the drain, which was just a piece of ABS that I also picked up at Home Depot.
