Answer:
Remove old showerhead. Attach new showerhead to shower arm (pipe) coming out of shower wall. If the shower arm is not threaded, but has a ball at the end, replace the shower arm with a new, threaded-end shower arm.

please advise how I can increase the pressure. Is there a flow restrictor in the line that can be removed? The water coming out of the head is more of a trickle than what I would consider a shower.

back pressure in shower valve leaks at diverter control when glacier bay hand held installed?

This question is from 3-Spray Hand Shower and Shower Head Combo Kit in Oil Rubbed Bronze
Asked by

leaks at diverter lever of valve then drips down back of wall and follows down overflow pipe at trip lever and drips onto ceiling below. this is the second time installation of this shower head style has been done at two separate units and the same problem occurred with brand new delta and moen shower valves. these glacier bay hand held shower units must have alot of back pressure and by-passes seal at diverter.Any body else find this ? tired of replacing ceilings in tenant spaces. had gone thru all the grouting business, sealing around tub spouts and tub/wall intersections, soap dish trays and shower valve cover trims.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase I have wanted a shower head with hand shower combo for a long time. The price was right. I am a female with ten thumbs.and I put it up with no problems. Doesn't leak at all. September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great shower head I replaced a very expensive metal shower head with this unit. Both heads have good flow, and both heads used simultaneously have reasonable flow. This is plastic and hence is not very expensive. My wife loves this combination so much I have replaced one of the other bathrooms with a similar unit. July 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dont like it Water kept leaking from the joint between shower head and hand shower...could not get it to work right. Had to take it down and return the product April 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lots of possibilities; too many adjustments. The shower kit has two showerheads; a regular one and a handshower. And it has a diverter control on the left side of the bracket that allows you to adjust the water to all shower, all handshower, or both showerheads at the same time. Of course, because this is a low-flow showerhead (at 2.5 GPM) using both at the same time gives you some weak pressure. The instructions were great until step 4. Be sure to remove the two rubber gaskets from the kit and insert one into each end of the showerhose. Then attach the showerhose to the diverter and handshower. Ignore step 6. This model requires the use of thread sealant tape. Fortunately, it is provided. Most showerheads these days use gaskets only, eliminating the need for thread sealant tape. Even with the tape, I had to tighten the diverter to the shower arm extra-tight to avoid leaks. In the end, I was able to do that. Unfortunately, this design had a round connector, rather than a flat-sided connector (which normally allows an adjustable wrench), so I had to use pliers to tighten. The unit is mostly plastic, except for the diverter connector to the shower arm. It has the same 3 settings for each showerhead, which is enough variety to satisfy most people. And if you use both showerheads a the same time, you can adjust each showerhead spray setting, and position, and pressure (using the diverter). Perhaps too complicated. The showerhose is really stiff and will take a few days to straighten out. January 31, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of Junk If you are looking for a non-functional showerhead that leaks like crazy but is nice to look at, then this is your product. I got this yesterday, installed it in 5 minutes. I turned the water over to the shower and it began leaking from 3 separate places. Got the spraying at the neck down to a drip after 10-15 minutes, but the flow to the handheld part doesn't even work, it just sprays down the hose. Took it off, tried to adjust it, but there's nothing to adjust. This thing is just a piece of junk, pure and simple. September 6, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't work I do not like this product. It has not worked correctly since the day we installed it. The higher of the 2 heads does not work water flows down the cord. We added the tape to seal it better and still it doesn't work. Spent around $ 60.00 and now have to buy a new one. Really not happy about that. May 21, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What a leaky mess! Simple to install. Cheap to buy. Those are the "good" things about it. But what a piece of plastic junk! It leaks copiously at the place where the hose attaches to the shower arm. There's a little sticker on the very part that leaks which says it is supposed to drip to prevent water flowing back to the water supply. If only it was a drip! It's a leak that sprays, instead of drips. I certainly don't want my floor and walls (outside of the tub) soaked every time I turn on my shower. I replaced the rubber washer, but it's just as bad as before. I've researched for two days about how to remedy this, but what I've realized is that there is no cure for cheap plastic junk. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Great Shower System This system is so easy to install Took all of 10 minutes to assemble and switch out with the existing shower head. The three function shower head and hand held wand is great. You can actually use both the shower head and the hand held at the same time if you choose to. The bronze makes the look of it even better.
