The plastic ring that holds it together cracked, how can I get a new one?

Asked by: Pinny
The ring may not be broken--it is a split ring to begin with. You can contact or call 1-800-531-3342 x 3600.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality for the price I have used three of these shower heads, on three different bathrooms. If you want a shower head with hose for hand use, this is an inexpensive and easy-to-install solution. No tools are needed. The spray is good on all three settings, and the pressure is not too high so you don't run out of hot water. Note that it is not really a massage head, however. Here are some tips: (1) When they say "hand tighten only" they mean it. Don't pull out a wrench thinking that tighter is better. (2) Do NOT use any kind of compound on the pipe threads. The fixture comes with thread tape, and that's what you should use. (3) When it is in use, if you grab the shower mount and twist it suddenly, you can pull the mount right off the pipe connector. This is not necessarily broken. The retaining ring is split to begin with, so it's not that it broke. Just reassemble the pipe connector and mount and reinstall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2+ years and going strong I am back for my third one of these. Not because the first two broke, but because they are both still going strong after two years (one in each of my 2 bathrooms). This third one will be for a friend. They have good pressure, better than the ones they replaced, which cost four times as much (each). And they are durable, showing no signs of failing any time soon. The package includes a small roll of plumber's tape (thread seal tape). Use about three wraps in the direction of the tightening. Too little tape and it will leak. Too much tape and it will leak. And don't over tighten. You may have to try a few times to get the plumber's tape and tightening right, but if you do it correctly, and make sure it's screwed on straight (threads aligned to the shower arm threads), you should not have leaks. This is related to the user/installer, not the product. Even if you're inexperienced and have to try again once or twice to get the threads aligned and tape seal good (test, dry it off, try again, test), the whole installation takes about 10 to 20 minutes tops, if you follow the package directions. Yes, there is a vacuum breaker in this. That is not a "leak." The whole point of a vacuum breaker is to let air into the line to allow remaining water in the hose to drain afterward, rather than siphoning backward. You want the water to drain out --- bacteria and mold just love moist, dark environments. Just let the whole thing hang for a minute after your shower, so it can drain before seating it back in its holder. After seating it, you might get a drip or two for the next several seconds - it's doing its job. Just wipe it down and be grateful it drained well. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because when the water is on, the nozzle arm turns in its seat a bit if it's not jammed tightly into the holder. This could have been prevented if they'd just put a vertical raised ridge at the base of the handle, to slide into the opening in the holder. (a 2" long, 1/4" diameter piece of dowel or equivalent, secured with waterproof tape to the base of the handle solves this, but doesn't look great).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It Works I've been using this for about two weeks now and it's been working well. I was worried after reading the reviews but I haven't had any problems. It did leak a little as explained in the manual, but it seems to have stopped. When it did leak, it was only light dripping around where it's screwed on while the shower was on, nothing problematic. I bought this because the water pressure was too soft on my other one. This one is about about medium. There are two other settings. One is massage which is a stronger but less amount of spray that comes from just the center. The other one is similar to the original setting but just slightly different distribution. Installation took about 10-15 minutes. It was my first time doing something like this. I first mixed up the ends of the hose when I had to screw it on which resulted in water spraying out of it rather than through the shower head, so just be sure to double check that you did everything right. There's a label on one end but I forgot after I removed it. It's probably not the most durable or highest quality but it doesn't feel cheap either. It's good enough for me and it seems like it could last a while. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I never knew installing a hand shower could be so inexpensive and simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable Shower Wand This is a good shower wand for the cost. I don't care for the multiple spray settings that some of the more expensive ones have. I mainly use this to wash my dogs in the tub. They seem to like it too. Lol

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Smelly Chinese rubberized plastic Great, except the off-gassing from chemicals in the plastic is so bad, it is smelling up my entire bathroom. Have to get rid of it. Over-the-top bad smell.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap, plastic The small selection at my local Home Depot lead me to buy this cheap, poorly made shower head. After my last shower head lasted 10+ years and finally broke, I ran to the closest Home Depot and found this. I installed the plumbing per the instructions and turned on the hot water. As soon as I placed the head into the plastic bracket, water began SPRAYING in all directions from the bracket. Dripping and not clean, I left my shower to try to find a solution. Thank god I bought more teflon tape than the scanty bit that came with the product. The plastic feels thin and fragile. The bracket will probably last until the next shower head comes in the mail.
