I chose this vanity top because of the clean, contemporary lines, and it fits the bill. For the price, it's an amazing addition to our bath remodel. Easy to install, picked up in the store so could check for any cracks, and it was just fine. Did take other reviewers suggestions and put on the faucet before installation. Great value, great look.

I used this to replace an old laminate top with set-in sink. No chips or cracks out of the box. Easy to place on old vanity - there were two of us. Added caulking between old vanity and new top to prevent future movement. Installed a new faucet, trap, and water lines. Looks great and works well. Really like the over-flow feature as this is in a rental.
Be aware, there is only a 1/2" or so backsplash and no side splash. I chose to install vinyl moulding (trim plank) by Royal Mouldings so I will not have to worry about rot in the future.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mojo Check it over prior to leaving
Check it prior to leaving the store! We did not and as other reviews state, it was chipped on a front corner. We had to return and there were no more in stock. A couple days later we see the top we returned in the isle of the store..awaiting another unsuspecting customer. We already installed the vanity so will get another one when it is available. Good style and if not broken you can't beat the price.

First off, let me just start by saying this review is no reflection on Home Depot, but the manufacturer of the vanity top. Home Depot was very helpful in fixing my issue.
I recently bought this vanity top for my 48" vanity, due to the allowable space I had for a backsplash (this one only has maybe 1/2" at most...) We got it out to the vehicle and loaded it up, and I even opened up the box too look as good as I could at it to ensure it was cracked or broken. If I've learned one thing over the years, it's to always ensure something fragile isn't broken before you leave the parking lot. It all looked good as far as I could see in the box, but as you can imagine, fully viewing a 48" vanity top in an suv is difficult. I got home, and sat the vanity top on the vanity, only to notice two of the corners were really chipped... almost ground off, like it happened in the factory. The box wasn't all beat up, like Home Depot would have dropped it or anything. And of course these faults were on the 1% of the top that I could not see in my suv at the store. So after running 20 minutes home, I had to run another 20 minutes out to the store again to exchange it. The associate that took us back for an exchange was very nice and helpful. There was 2 other tops on the shelf of the same kind, and thankfully she let us open them up in the store to check them. We opened up the second one to again find flaws in the finish on a few corners. Not as bad as the first, but it was more factory defects. A few of the corners looked like they didn't even have a white glossy finish on them. So we opened the third... thankfully this one appeared to be in good condition so I took that one. Installed fine and looks good now that this one doesn't have defects.
So just be aware - the factory doesn't seem to have very good quality assurance. If you're planning on buying this top, ask an associate to see it in the store before buying it. Better to be safe than sorry and making numerous trips back and forth to the store.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by frustrated cracked
I had to return this top once since it arrived cracked...in fact, two out of three of the tops I ordered from home depot were cracked. When I went to the store to return/replace the tops, several others on the shelves were cracked as well. I'd say the store could use some training on proper handling of their product so other customers don't have to drive to and from the store as many times as I have had to.
