I had to take mine all apart. Take an allen wrench to the inside of the part that connects to the pipe in the wall and tighten that. it was a pain to get it to stop leaking.

2) Diverter valve uses screen washer installed and is hand tightened to shower arm. Following that, it is tightened with a wrench; instructions call for 1/4 turn, but my unit leaked at the connection and required over 1/2 turn to stop it - go slow and easy.
3) Other connections only require a washer and hand tightening. My unit leaked/seeped at the diverter-to-hose connection; the threaded connector on the hose is plastic, but I was extremely cautious and used a wrench to get about 1/20 a turn to stop the leak.
If everything is according to the instructions, contact the manufacturer by email at customerservice@waxmancpg.com or by phone at 1-800-531-3342, Ext 3600 for assitance.

To change spray setting on either head, use the tab to rotate to the desired setting; there are 5 settings with the middle (3rd) setting being full spray.
2) No, there is not a pause button on the hand held unit other than to rotate the diverter valve to the fixed head position. Positioning the valve between the two (2) units provides reduced flow to both. Read Less

Very easy to change streams on both stationary and hand held. There is a lever on the side of each that moves easily, no twisting the shower head at all.
There is no button on the hand held part. It is controlled by the twist knob on the left side of apparatus, It only has on or off.

In regards to your question; try making a slight adjustment to the diverter/mounting bracket piece to see if this corrects the issue you are experiencing.....
-Remove the diverter/mounting bracket piece from the shower arm
-Remove the screen washer
-You will notice a hex shaped piece inside the diverter/mounting bracket piece
-With a tool; slightly tighten the hex shaped area down inside the bracket. If already tight; proceed to the next step
-Take your screen washer and flip it prior to reinserting it into the bracket.
-Reattach the diverter/mounting bracket piece to your shower arm
-Turn the nut and the body at the same time and after a few turns you should feel the body start to tighten up. You may also use a wrench to tighten but be sure the nut is covered with a cloth to protect the finish of the product and only tighten in ¼ turn increments.
The connector that attaches your diverter/mounting bracket to your pipe is a compression fitting. Tightening this connection will firm up your entire assembly and should keep the bracket from turning.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 76 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by easy to install This 5 function shower head with hand shower was easy to install and took my husband 15 minutes including removing the old shower head. The product easily replaced our existing unit and turned the standard shower into a spa shower. The unit has 5 different settings which include full, pulse, energy and combinations of these settings. The hose length is 60 inches. The set also includes sealant tape, extra washers, and a 2 way diverter. Since our shower has the head set higher in the wall for a rain-shower head, the hand held shower is positioned a bit too high for shorter people to reach and bring down. This is why I rated it 4-star. It would be better to have some type of bar which extends lower so the hand-held shower could be better accessed for shorter people. A great product overall and will upgrade the basic shower head in any home. The water stream is perfect and the function is also perfect. November 13, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad You get what you pay for, cheap but durable plastic. July 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Low priced option with a few issues First, let me say that when you buy the "economy" version of anything, you get what you pay for. Installation is pretty straight forward, though I found you have to tighten things up a bit more than instructed. Care is needed doing so, as the plastic can probably be pretty easier damaged by over-tightening. Once set up, the unit works as advertised, though people with low water pressure may have issues. Quality could be an issue. The shower is made out of thin plastic that I feel will not take much vigorous use. Living by myself I know the unit will be treated with care. If, however, I had a family with children, or was installing this in a rental, I would not recommend it. The hand unit come with a 5' hose made out of some rather stiff material. It'd be nicer if the hose was more pliant and 12" to 18" longer. May 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Looking & Improved Ergonomics This unit replaced a single handheld shower (photo attached). Installation was quick and easy, but had two (2) minor issues: 1) the connection for the diverter bracket to shower arm required tightening than the instructions called for so it would not leak and 2) the glue that held warnings to hand tighten only was tenacious and removal was the longest part of the process. Like the handheld unit it replaced, this unit had multiple settings - full, pulse, energy, full + pulse, and full + energy. While all modes operated properly, the full + pulse/+ energy settings were disappointing for both the handheld shower and shower head units; except as noted, it performed as well as, if not better than the handheld shower it replaced. It needs to be noted that I have a private well & it's likely this could be attributed to the lower flow volume and operating pressure of well versus city water supply. The two big improvements I see in this system versus old systems are: 1) no perceptible difference in water flow between the handheld and shower units and 2) improved ergonomics for both the water diverter (switching from one showedhead to the other) as well as a tab for changing spray settings (see photo). Overall, it's a good product and value; I would recommend it. September 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shower sprayer Easy to install. Water pressure is great! Good price and looks nice. I would definitely recommend it! May 31, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overalll Its OK Overall its ok. There are only two issues. One it would nice if it had a little stronger flow for the massage setting. Also, there is no setting where you can have both of the heads running at the same time. Its one or the other. That last shower head I had you could run both heads simultaneously on two different settings. Another issue was, the stickers they put on to serve as instructions. one of them was difficult to get off and left a lot of residue which made the finish poor. December 18, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the price This multi setting 5 function shower head with hand held shower was easy to install and took me about 15 minutes which included removing the old shower head. The product easily replaced my previous unit and turned the standard shower into a spa shower. The unit has 5 different settings which include full, pulse, energy and combinations of these settings. 60 inch flexible hose. It price is very affordable considering it is a multi function. Very pleased with the unit. I would suggest this to a friend. January 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Budget Upgrade For the price this is a pretty nice upgrade to most showerheads. As expected, installation was very straightforward but it took a couple tries to get rid of any leaks. The connectors aren't the sturdiest so I didn't want to risk cracking them by installing them with a wrench but hand-tightening like the directions stated proved leaky at first. The unit has the usual settings and water rpessure was very good but overall the quality isn't the best. For the price I'd recommend this but it's not as high-end as some others out there January 5, 2016
