Thus, it WILL NOT work in any kind of older fitting in you wall that may have some wear on the existing threads. I found another one online that is brass, and that one is much heavier. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An item I needed to replace the previous one. I was unable to disassemble the previous one to fix the leak, so I purchased the same type. It was easy, even for a single woman. September 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Competent arm What more to say? last one rusted out, dont remember if this was the same product September 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great shower head extension pipe; lowers head by 2" Removed old shorter shower pipe to give slightly lower height to shower head. Easy to install. Be sure to get teflon tape for both ends of threads and wrap chrome with a rag before tightening. Don't over-tighten the connection into the wall. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works good! Works good. Easy to install and the shower head screws right on with a little Teflon tape. August 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Fit for purpose It's a shower arm. The escutcheon is suitable. There is a minor risk of leakage at the penetration. There is no gasket or seal of any sort. Some silicone is warranted. May 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Repair Old pipe developed a leak as previous owners did not have water conditioner and well water is highly acidic. This arm and flange is just what I needed. No problem with installation. April 19, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by basic 8 inch shower arm and flange Installation was a little difficult. I removed the old shower arm because the shower arm was permanently attached to the shower arm. After 8 or so years, the shower head was rusted to the shower arm. I wrapped two cycles of Teflon tape, installed the shower arm, did not install the flange initially, and lightly attached the new shower head. Using a flashlight, I ran the shower and watched for leaks. I noticed drops of water leaking from the joint. So I removed the shower head and shower arm, removed the Teflon tape and wrapped 4 cycles of Teflon tape. This time, everything worked. Removed the shower head and installed the flange. This is a basic set. Less expensive than the one made by Kohler. It works properly. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shower Head attachment Replacement for basement shower works perfect for the price. January 26, 2016
