No water pressure...

After installing our new Glacier Bay sink and faucet (model # sm2034), we barely have a trickle of water coming from the faucet. The water pressure was perfect in our previous sink and is normal everywhere else in the house. What could be wrong?

Faucet Button Keeps Coming Off

I recently purchased this home featuring this sink in the kitchen. I have no warrantee information - and the faucet (rubber) button keeps falling off - i cannot get it to stay. Picture attached. Any advice or info that might be able to help me remedy this situation?
Asked by: Claudia
Do you have your reciept? If it keeps popping out, print this picture, and go to customer service, and ask to have the faucet replaced. They will either pull one out of a box, or give you a nice credit on a MOEN. I ended up buying a new faucet after a little more than a year. This is a very nice unit for the price, but the faucet is of the cheap variety. I was unable to find replacement parts, and just bit the bullet for a higher quality one. If you could get them to give you a break on a new one, I would recommend that. You will most likely have other problems with it eventually. MOEN is about the last brand that is still made in the US. Top notch, at least I have had excellent results with them, and they stand behind their product too.

diagram of where the weight for the retractable hose isn't clear as to exactly where the weight go?..

Home Depot installed this and it has a "thump" in the top curve of the faucet and doesn't retract well...the weight hits the underside of the sink...Is that right?
Asked by: The fussy lady
Correct installation is critical. The weight must be at the bottom center of the curve when the faucet supply hose is in the fully retracted position (the normal lowest hanging position of the supply hose). There should be no clunk sound which indicates that the weight is hitting on something under the sink, either the faucet metal water suppy lines that the hoses screw onto from the wall connectors. This can need adjustment because these three parts are very close together as they go up into the faucet. If the pull-up path (when you are using the spray) is snagging on something it will be harder to pull out the sprayer: or if the retract path for the weight (when you put the faucet head back in the faucet cup) is dragging on something on it's way down (the clunk you might be hearing). If it is one of these, then use a tie to pull and strap any hoses blocking a straight drop path for the weight out of the way. If the weight is landing on something you have stored under the sink, move it out of the way. Or, if the weight is landing on or sliding over or to the side of drain pipes under your sink you will need to reposition the weight so that it can drop or pull up without having to land on or slide passed the drain pipes. It took two adjustments and a strap pulling the hoses away a little bit but that was only about five minutes.

All-in-One Dual Mount Stainless Steel 33 in. 2-Hole Double Basin Kitchen Sink is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 203.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy!! Rusts easily This sink set looks really nice, but rusts easily and some of the components do not work well. Almost immediately after installing it I noticed what I thought were stains in the sink. Then four months after installation, I saw small rust spots on the inside of the sink that did not go away when I cleaned the sink. When I looked underneath the sink, there were HUGE rust spots all over the sink. I now have to replace this sink FOUR MONTHS after installation. The discoloration I saw a few days after installation was actually the early stages of rusting. Stay away from this sink. Additionally, the soap dispenser is cheaply made and does not work well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mounting clamps junk As stated in other reviews, many problems with mounting clamp design. A couple mentioned that they pivot when tightening, but I see this as a trivial issue to the big issue that is mentioned in one other review. As soon as you put a small amount of pressure to make the sink flat to surface the screws strip out. They have very small, weak threads through a loose clamp. It may of worked better if the sink was level, but after checking it with my level, it was obvious the sink needed to be "pulled" down to make it flush with counter. I spent a couple hours trying to make this work, but am returning it today, didn't even get a chance to install faucet. Would avoid this like the plague.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overall disappointed There are two MAJOR setbacks with this Glacier Bay installation and operation. First as already mentioned, the installation clamps are cheap and even worse are the screws. The screws only allow a very small flathead and because of the tight spaces and poor clamps, they will prove to add 1 hr installation and more frustration. Good sinks will come with hex screws that also allow for a socket screwdriver. Secondly the faucet. which appears to be very cosmetically appealing, but is actually very cheap. The connector to the extendable nozzle is so small that poor water pressure is inevitable. Expect to purchase a new faucet sooner rather than later!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had all the same problems listed above- please read on! I am a renter in a mobile home and needed a cheaper solution, even with the reviews above it was my only option. Instead of using the enclosed clips, use the Elkay black phosphate coated clips available from HD in the same department as the sinks. $4.98 solution! Do not use the foam band, it will not work. Use good ole plumbers putty (fresh and workable) rolled up enough to seal but not too much to hold it up off the counter. Use sandbags or other means (that wont scratch) to hold the sink in place while tightening the clamps. This will flatten the sink deformations for you without a hammer, etc. Having the drains in the back allows the plumbing to also be further back meaning more useable space for what-have-you in the cabinet underneath. As soon as it is out of the box, cover the exposed edges with painters tape to keep from gouging it when handling it- stuff happens! Remove the tape only when you are cleaning up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great price and appearance This sink and faucet look great! It's really roomy, and very inexpensive. There are a few negatives, though. The drain is near the back of the basin, and it is sometimes difficult to get stuff directed down it. Also, the sprayer does not retract itself at all, and has to deliberately be pushed back up into the faucet. Finally, the soap dispenser does not actually screw in or anything, so it's really loose and if you lift, it just comes right out. (Unless ours is missing a part?) Anyway, overall, the look and size and cost is great, and for the amount you're paying, it's a great deal... but still not worthy of 5 stars.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap sink, cheap faucet looks great, decent size sink and everything looks great, i loved that it had 2 different sized sinks.... but worst decision ever.... the faucet brand new dripped, the stainless steel sink started to discolor and rust after 2 weeks of use, the drains that came with it also started to discolor, it was a pain to install because the rail that hold the clamps was all bent out of shape and didnt hold the screws in so i had to bend it to work, the sink itself also didnt sit flush on the counter so it also needed to be tweaked at install, my advice is stay away and spend the extra money and get a kohler

Rated 1 out of 5 by from RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poorest value ever! It's no value when in 1 year you have had 4 hoses replaced & less time with a working sink then a running one! I love the sink itself but the hose is so junky it lasts a few months at best , the button rubber insert to turn it to spray I have been through 4 of them as well the rubber rips out in 3 weeks time leaving you with an ugly gaping hole on your faucet for everyone to see. The hoses split leaving you all of a sudden with water spraying under your cabinets my cabinet is now ruined from water damage underneath and so does our office ceiling underneath . The last 2 hoses we had we didn't even use the heavy lead eight they provided . This last hose was from a new faucet they have us . It lasted 3 weeks before the button cover tore & 4 months before the hose blew open again ! Run far from this product it is JUNK!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Large capacity, accessories incl, streamlined install components PROS: Great large 9" depth for skillets, pots and pans. Low divider between sinks enable you to put long handled pans all the way in the sink. Strainers included let you air dry a couple of coffee cups, glasses without a dish rack on the counter for frequently re-used items. Sound buffering is good. Very easy install components for both drain and faucet that are very easy to access should you ever need to repair/replace them. Thirty minute install if standard plumbing is in place. IF you install the faucet counterweight correctly I have no issues with this simple to use faucet and retractable regular flow or spray nozzle which is included. It's all about the counterweight position so that it does not hang up or get blocked under the sink on piping or storage items preventing full retraction so that the faucet "re-seats" in the stem (that is true with any counterweight retractable faucet at any price range). CONS: I don't like the drain strainers. They drop down too easily when trying set them to drain, and hang up when you try to remove them. I will replace these. Only one accessory hole so it's either dishwasher air break versus use as included soap dispenser (which I didn't use because of this) which is easy to refill by the way. I bought three appliances the same day. This is by far the easiest to install and use. This is a great sink for the price.
