Customer Questions & Answers

I just purchased a portable dishwasher from Home Depot and I wonder if this faucet can accomodate the hookup for the dishwasher?

I need to remove the head to attach the hose to the dishwasher, will this faucet accomodate that?
Asked by: polkalady
I'm not sure by what "Remove the Head" means... If you are speaking about the aerator on the end of the faucet you will be good to go and will need an adapter from an aerator thread to a hose fitting to make everything work. Be sure you have the drain hose secured so it won't shoot out water all over the place. As long as you have the proper connection between your faucet and dishwasher turn on the hot and cold faucets, secure the drain line from the dishwasher and get busy with the dishes!

My Glacier Bay fauct is dripping after I turn the handles off. Are there replacments parts for the handles? Or do I need to buy a new faucet?

Asked by: Anonymous
If your Glacier Bay faucet is leaking when the handles are off you can do the following: (Determine which handle is leaking) Shut off the HOT water supply valve, turn on the hot water faucet to bleed off the line pressure and see if the drip is still present. If the drip persists you have now discovered that the cold water handle is leaking. If the dripping has stopped you have determined that the HOT water side is the culprit. Now you know if it's the HOT or COLD side leaking. I recommend shutting off both H/C water supplies and removing a cartridge so you can take it to Home Depot and get an exact replacement cartridge which should be in inventory. All you need is a replacement cartridge, or two to be safe. Remove the old cartridge and install the new. (Or both) Turn on the water supply and you will be leak free. No need to buy a new faucet.

Does this faucet have threads on it?

I have a counter top dishwasher and my kitchen sink doesnt have threads on it, so I need a new sink.
Asked by: PsychoSteve
No, I'm not sure what you mean by counter top! For drain lines permanent connection there are drain peaces that have a nipple on them for the dish washer. Also Hot water valves with 2 connections one for the sink one, one for the dish washer. If it is an external roll up dish washer you may need a new Faucet if you cannot connect to your existing one.

I think I need to replace the diverter on my faucet. How do I get to it and does HD have a replacement diverter available?

I have good water pressure from the sprayer, but not from the faucet. I tried twisting the cap off of the housing behind the faucet neck, but it won't budge. How do I get to the diverter?
Asked by: Lois
Home Depot sells the diverter in the plumbing parts section of the store. It's simple to replace.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Water goes here If you're looking for a pipe with a plasticky chrome finish, plastic handles, and no included hardware, which produces water on demand, this is a candidate. It's adequacy is matched only by its sufficiency. It's so unencumbered by style, it exists almost in a haze, a fog of indistinct borders and shape, hovering like an on-demand rain cloud over the sink. If you want a faucet that screams "anything" this is probably not for you. If you want a faucet that quietly perches indistinctly on your sink for about 7 years, then starts to drip, only to be replaced without fanfare or sympathy. This is your man/woman/thing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap for a reason. The title says it all; the first thing you'll notice once you pick this faucet up is how incredibly light it is; that's because this faucet isn't metal at all, it's actually a very thin vac-metalized plastic, which explains the 'chrome' look. The handles are cheap and tacky looking, too, and the 'Hot' and 'Cold' toppers on the knobs have broken off after a year of use. The faucet head has always been loose and wobbly, and now after a year the faucet leaks profusely from the joint where the faucet head connects to the base. All-in-all the entire faucet unit reeks of something that was designed and built on a budget, stay away from this inferior product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking and working kitchen faucet with a great price Bought this for a tenant and she is thrilled with the way it looks and works. The stems are replaceable from Home Depot if I ever need them. I did also buy an adapter to attach a portable dishwasher to the faucet. Not a single complaint. I also love this faucet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems like a pretty good value Seems like a pretty good value. Hopefully it will be able to accommodate my PUR filter.** The construction appears somewhat durable and sturdy. Very stylish and attractive design. ** NOTICE TO LANDLORDS: The plastic $17.38 faucet sold by Home Depot is not sturdy enough to accommodate a filter on the end of the spout. Save yourself the headaches and spend a few more bucks and get your tenant a faucet that will last and is adaptable for a filter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks in less than 6 months! I purchased this faucet on 2/4/2013 and it began to leak at the seems along the faucet. And it didn't turn out to be a little leak. It was spraying out the seam and flooded my counters and under my sink. Had a huge horrible mess to clean up. Now trying to find a replacement as I need a new faucet ASAP and it would take forever to get a replacement from the company. The website link given in the warranty isn't even valid. Extremely disappointed.
