We bought this because it looks great and we thought the bottom loading would be easier. It was not that easy to load because you have to yank the stopper out of the jug and twist to get the pump into the new jug. Also the unit is very noisy and pumps water for a long time every time you dispense water. The heating took about 5 minutes (like a kettle) but the water was hot. Also to note, the water came out very slow, not like conventional dispensers. We have had our unit for less than a month, and today it decided it does not want to pump any longer so we are taking it back for a top loading one.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Nick Pay attention to the reviews
Just finishing up on a home remodeling project, with particular emphasis on the kitchen. Bought all stainless steel appliances to compliment the dark cherry cabinets and uba tuba granite and dark tile. Felt I'd done my homework on available stainless "look" water dispensers and though the previous reviews weren't inspiring on this Glacier Bay model, I thought the previous reviewers may have been looking for more utility from their dispenser... ie, reliable hot water functionality. My application for the dispenser is strictly cold water functionality, so I figured what the heck, it'll at least be able to competently provide this benefit. Unit was bought on April 18th at 8 pm and the cold water feature was no longer working on April 21st. Push the top mount button on the right for cold and NOTHING. It's absolutely absurd for the manufacturer to produce and sell such a poorly functioning unit. Even more, it astounds me that Home Depot would continue to carry a product that has such a poor track record, now that I've looked even further into the reviews on this product. Well, there it is. Take my opinion for just that, another review from a disgruntled customer. But, heed this, if this unit couldn't provide me with the occasional (glass or two a day of cold water) then just imagine how soon it'll break from moderate expectations from the typical customer.

Purchased unit a month ago from local HomeDepot. Straight out of the box, the door fell off. On inspection found that the wire and screw that connected the door to the inside of the cabinet was missing. The latch to open the door did not work.. The water dispensed very slowly and not as cold as you would get from a bottle chilled in the fridge. The hot water took about 3-4 minutes to heat but not as hot as you would like your morning coffee to be. Three days later, we took it back to exchange. All the remaining boxes in the store seemed to have been opened and re-taped. So we asked to open to find a unit with all its parts intact. All seemed to have cosmetic blemishes. (These units may have been returns?) Opened three boxes before we found one that was acceptable. This second one had all it's parts and worked wonderfully for 3 weeks until the cold water was dispensing lukewarm and leaking from the spout. Took it back yesterday for a full refund. Another note, the noise from the compressor is loud and seems to be constantly working. Not energy efficient at all. Purchase at your own risk.

There's hot water, but you have to push a button & wait 3 minutes for it to boil & dispense. Also the pump, doesn't go all the way down to suck up all the water. There's left over water on the bottom of every container.
This item could be better.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by Samara Its just junk
Plane and simple, its just junk. I was concerned the unit was going to brake just unpacking it. I believe the card board box it came in was better made. Under the "70% less energy" they should let you know thats because it 70% less convenient. I've never heard of a water dispenser that could not deliver instant hot water. They claim 3min. for hot water. Not even close. It's noisy and seems to run excessively. The pump can't siphon the bottom of the bottle so there is always waste. The quality of the materials used are unbelievably bad.
