Installed with pex was little wobbly at first but after everything connected worked out good. Instructions that come with it help some but also have to figure some out on ur own for fastening it to the wall. Has nice brushed look with decent shower head. Over all looks and performes well.

The home I bought had this model installed in the master shower. I experienced the same issues, low pressure and temperature control, and after reading other customer reviews was discouraged that the problem could be fixed. I settled on replacing the HL40/A507887 cartridge instead of demoing the existing tile work to replace the entire valve/faucet. Maybe I got lucky and received the one good cartridge as the shower now works better than I could have hoped. Very good pressure and hot water. The shower wasn't usable before. On the plus side, the water shutoffs on the valve are very convenient and replacing the cartridge was a breeze. In and out in about an hour. If anyone is experiencing the same problems, I recommend trying to replace the cartridge. Based off other posts I believe GB will send a free replacement if you purchased the faucet. I bought the cart. from HD.com rather than going through cust service. 1 tip, flush the valve before installing a new cartridge.

We installed this shower valve in our new house in Aug 2015 (all other valves are Delta). We tolerated the low water pressure and limited hot water from this valve. After about 3 months of use and during mid-shower, valve body (the part inside the wall) split causing a significant leak inside the wall. Lucky, my family knew what to do in the event of a major water leak and they were able to prevent catastrophic damage to the house. The Glacier Bay valve had to be cut out of the tiled wall and replaced with a Delta brand. New Delta shower control =$100, Plumbing labor to remove and replace, $150, Sheet rock / tile work = $150, Offer from Glacier Bay - Send us more and more photos of your faucet, we don't recognize it..... If we do recognize it, we might send you a replacement.....

DO NOT BUY THIS, I DON'T USUALLY LEAVE REVIEWS BUT THIS THING IS JUNK. WE INSTALLED THIS IN OUR RENTAL PROPERTY DURING A COMPLETE BATHROOM REMODEL AND NOW MY TENANATS ARE CALLING ME THAT THE WATER PRESSURE IS HORRIBLE AND THE WATER WILL TRICKLE WHEN POSITIONED TO THE HOT POSITION. THE WATER WILL NOT GET HOT AND LUKE WARM IS SO WEAK YOU WOULD HAVE TO STAND AGAINST THE SHOWER WALL FOR THE WATER TO EVEN TOUCH YOU. NOW WE HAVE TO OPEN THE WALL UP AND INCONVENIENCE OUR NEW TENANATS AND SHUT THE WATER OFF TO REPLACE THIS VALVE. SEEMS THAT THERE ARE ENOUGH OF THE SAME REPORTED PROBLEM THAT HOME DEPOT WOULD STOP SELLING THESE OR AT LEAST OFFER SOME COMPENSATION FOR THE HASSLE.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Yinzer Good price but cheaply made
The shower head is plastic. Even hand tightening, not using a pipe wrench, it cracked.
Home Depot quickly replaced the head, good customer service.
