Customer Questions & Answers

Why does this sink has no built-in overflow? Was it by design to reduce the cost or was there another reason?

Asked by: Anonymous
The manufacturer's response was that it's unnecessary for the proper performance of the sink. But what if your kid stuffs play dough in the drain and turns the water on, for several hours? Wouldn't you want an overflow hole?! What a dunce. I wouldn't allow them to give me this sink for free!

Do you screw the basin onto the cabinet, because the vanity is very wobbly?

Asked by: Rick69machone
No, it just sits into the cabinet. I, however, caulked mine.

Does this vanity have a back on it or is they back open to the wll

The one the plumber installed I just noticed it does not have a back on it. it is open to the wall underneath
Asked by: tiny
The back is open to the wall. If you want to close it up, you can purchase a plastic/vinyl back with spring closures very inexpensively at HD. No assembly required, just pop it on there.

I assume the faucet shown is the faucet that comes with the vanity. That is correct isn't it?

Asked by: Barack
No, the faucets and sink drain cover are a preference item and are paid for separately.

Chelsea 25 in. Vanity in Nutmeg with Porcelain Vanity Top in White with White Basin is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 137.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice size This vanity went in a very tiny bathroom for my mother. For 55 years it has had a tiny sink hanging on the wall. She uses a Walker. She actually has more room in the bathroom now with the slim Baden

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid cabinet For a $150 cabinet (got on sale for $99) I have been very happy with purchase. Since I have a smaller bathroom size was a consideration. I liked the size of old sink so I was looking for something similar. With cabinet being smaller then sink my bathroom looks bigger. Yes it is made of particle board, but as long as its not sitting in water it will be fine. If you spend an extra 5-30 minutes making sure the floor is flat and cabinet is square in its final mounting spot it will stay square. I have had mine for over 6 months now and its still square and gap between doors is still less then 1/4 in top and bottom of doors. Like anything else made of wood a little preparation and a little extra time could mean the difference in a couple of years to decades of service.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not TOO shabby.... Yes, this is a Mexico made sink, so if you don't need the perfect fit and finish you get by spending $500 and up for Kohler or American Standard, you'll get a beautiful, functional, porcelain vessel at a great price (and you may have to shim it slightly to get a good fit). A little plumbers putty around the (seperately purchased) drain fittings and you're good to go. The doors are solid wood and have the good "european" style adjustable hinges, so the gap between them can be easily closed up. The sides and back of the cabinet are particle board, so if you want to add to the life of this unit, the unfinished open edges can be sealed with a waterproof sealer such as polyurethane. Check the contents of the box before you leave the store, and enjoy the fact that you're going to make a nice upgrade to your bathroom for $100-$150.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love It It's been a little over a year since we installed this vanity and it's holding up pretty good. My husband and two year old has abused this vanity but it's still in perfect condition. I didn't like the color so I gave it a facelift.
