Customer Questions & Answers

Are there actually 7 working drawers?

One description says "5 drawers" but the picture looks like there are actually 7 working drawers. Three on each side and one on the bottom. Which is correct?
Asked by: Anonymous
I just purchased this cabinet two days ago. Actually, there are seven working drawers. Three small ones on each side (the top two are functional) plus the large bottom drawer.

can you put a wave style vanity top on this vaninty

Asked by: blades
Thank you for your inquiry. Vanity top model # 2249WV-3V, store SKU # 1000016724, would be a great wave style top to put on the Danville vanity cabinet.

I'm very much interested in the 48 inch wide Danville and would like to know if the bottom draw is detached from the kick -plate or are they attached?

if attached, wouldn't it be blocked from opening if there is a bathroom rug in front? If attached, can the kick-plate be cut off and permanently attached with the drawer opening above it?
Asked by: Mitch
Thank you for your inquiry. The bottom drawer and the kick plate on the Danville 48 in. W x 21 in. D x 33.5 in. H Vanity Cabinet Only in White are attached and have approximately a 1/2 inch of clearance space from the floor.

What are the dimensions of the cabinet area under the sink.

I would like to put an on demand water heater in the cabinet area under the sink so can you tell me what the dimensions of the cabinet area under the sink are?
Asked by: MDN1
Thank you for your inquiry. The Danville 48 in. wide vanity cabinet does not come with the vanity top/sink. The area where the on demand water heater could be installed is approximately 20 inches with a depth of 21 inches. The vanity top/sink dimensions will vary, we suggest speaking to a Home Depot Bath associate to see if this application will work for your project.

Customer Reviews

Danville 48 in. W x 21 in. D x 33.5 in. H Vanity Cabinet Only in White is rated 2.9 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from AFTER A YEAR, WE STILL LOVE IT- with one alteration!! We have been using this for a year now and the three of us STILL ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Space wise, it is the most efficiently designed cabinet I have ever seen. Even our plumber was impressed, although he had to recruit an assistant who was skinny and athletic enough to fit his upper body into the middle cabinet to attach the sink pipes. HOWEVER, before you use it, be prepared to correct one design flaw yourself. The 48" wide drawer at the bottom does not have enough cross support to keep the bottom from gradually bending downwards. You will need to buy some thin wooden struts, turn the drawer upside down, and attach them to the bottom of the drawer to provide extra support. We did this, and it now holds a vast amount of fairly heavy bathroom supplies without complaint. Other than that, we have not had a single problem with it, and all the parts fit beautifully. We are also thrilled that all six drawers are genuine drawers, as opposed to the fake ones you frequently find. We are EXTREMELY HAPPY with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice design. The bottom drawer provides lots of storage for towel. The down side is the packaging. We had to open 4 until we found one that wasn't damaged. The packaging needs to be stronger to prevent damage from the rough handling it is going to get in shipment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Inferior Vanity Top This vanity top is held together with nails that are far too short, too small of diameter, too few nails, no glue, very few screws. I had to put the large drawer back together after it fell apart when I very gently stood it on one end, on carpet. It looks good from the front, but very wimpy inside. The bottom drawer front was nailed on crooked. I bought this to replace very cheap cabinets in a rental condo and although they look better from the outside, the quality was worse. Very disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cheaply Constructed We decided to keep this vanity due to the room it provides. However, this unit may very well be the most poorly constructed piece of junk furniture available. As a previous customer stated regarding damage products, this is/can and should be expected due to the awful materials that were used.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from product looks nice on exterior but is poorly constructed. the product frame was, split were the top back rail meets the side panel of the cabinet. the rear panels that the drawer guides are fastened to is 1/8' pressboard and is stapled to the top rear rail of the cabinet with light gauge staples' all of which where pulled, out when we opened the box. i had to re secure both panels with constuction adhesive and crown staples. very poor construction.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not holding up. We bought 2 of these vanitys in 2010 because of the bottom drawer for extra storage. Now 4 years later, the bottoms of both lower drawers are falling out. We did not have anything in them that was heavy. Travel sized items for our guests, kleenex, bath tissue, etc. Beware, or put extra support blocks under them before installation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Front looks great, construction is extremely poor! After the home depot person found a package that wasn't damaged, I took it home and the whole front left edge came out of the left side. It is held together by corner staples in thin particle board that slips out. Even one of the draw sides split apart where it was stapled. This is made with the utmost barest of essentials...thin particle board and minimum bracing. Only the front part has actual wood. Home depot replaced it and the other store that had some in stock said it was probably stored vertically NOT like the warnings on the box warn about. I don't know how a manufacturer can with any kind of conscience, skimp with the tiny nails and staples just tacking it together. Very delicate to move in place or it'll pop apart. When you put towels, sheets, etc in the bottom drawer, you need to balance your load or the drawer will bind and bow out with not that much weight in it and will fall out of the slot. The manufacturer should be banned from construction of cabinets.
