Customer Questions & Answers

How do you attach the paper holder to the holder?

Asked by: Anonymous
Behind the circle is a bracket that screws into sheet rock or wood or the cabinet - once the bracket is in place, you place the circle into position and a tiny screw on the side allows you to tighten holder into place/position

Can the chrome circular piece that attaches to the mounting bracket be rotated so that I can have the post going to the left but still having the set screw on the bottom? I tried to loosen the screw inside, but had no luck. I was afraid to force it or strip the screw head.
Asked by: DIYdave
Yes, behind the circle that the post is attached to is a screw that can be unscrewed and then you can rotate to whichever position you want, vertical, slant ways, upside down, to the left to the right, diagonally - just make sure you screw it back tightly to secure it on the bracket.

Missing the mounting piece

I lost the circular mounting piece at the back of the round cover, where can I find a replacement one? Thanks.
Asked by: Stephen
Mounting piece might be sold separately at Home Depot or you can purchase an inexpensive soap dish and use the bracket from it.

Cut and dry instructions - Actually very easy to use - just screw into sheet rock - hook up and screw for tight fit - works like a charm. Chrome finish is nice touch. Met our expectations. Would purchase item again for other odd jobs around the bathroom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from One of the stupidest products I've ever purchased Presumably, the whole point of this product is to hold a roll of toilet paper, and to look good doing so. Why then does this design swivel at the point where the piece that goes through the roll meet the part that sticks out of the wall? Because of this design flaw, the horizontal bar constantly sags under the weight of the toilet paper roll. And once it sags far enough, this holder looks stupid and broken. I really hate this product, and I wish I knew how junky it was before I purchased and installed a bunch of other Dorset fixtures. Because now I can either replace all of them, or have mismatched stuff in my bathroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product This is a great product, BUT the installation instructions leave a lot to be desired. It is EXTREMELY important to install the round disk with the flange facing outward and not toward the wall. This is not stated in the written instructions. It is stamped on the round disk itself, but unless you inspect both sides first, you're not going to see it. For those folks who have stated that the product is a piece of junk and falls off, is not sturdy, etc., the problem most likely is that they didn't install it with the flange facing outward. I installed in incorrectly at first and what should have been a 5 minute installation took me about an hour because of the inadequate instructions. I don't think it would be it difficult to add that critical piece of information to the written instructions. Most of us don't install one of these things every day. The product is great; the instructions suck! When installed correctly, it is sturdy, looks good and functions well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good - but... This TP holder looks great but it has one very annoying feature - it will not stay horizontal. I have removed it twice and tried to tighten the center screw to stop it rotating but it simply cannot be tightened enough. Design fault. The screw head slots are very small preventing much force from being applied but more force is probably not the answer anyway.
