We had a granite countertop installed in March 2012 and just noticed within the last week a huge crack in the granite composite sink. Our kitchen refacing project began June2011 of which this was part of the original install.

For daily cleaning, the manufacturer recommends using Bar Keepers friend with a green scotch brite scouring pad. Once a week you can use mineral oil with damp cloth to keeps the finish looking nice.

Hi Zel, for this type of sink made from composite, you clean with a mild soap and water. You can also use a product called Bar Keepers Friend. No abrasives at any time can be used on this product. Here is a picture of the product.

Hi,
When looking for the RIGHT sink, we decided that we wanted a granite composite sink. We found this sink listed as a composite sink. Is that the same as a granite one? Is doesn't say anything in the description about granite. If so, (granite) is it 80%? Thanks.

Yes. I've had this sink installed twice now in 2 separate homes and it is definitely a granite composite. It even sparkles a little. Hope you found the right one!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dual Mount Composite Slate Sink The sink fits nicely in with our new counter top and the undercount is great and leaves no ridge to stop debris from going into the sink. March 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great sink. Sink is durable, deep and looks nice with black granite countertop. I was worried about cleaning it but sales person gave me a handout with tips. February 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by VERY DISAPPOINTED. SINK IS PITTING AND LOOKS AWFUL. I have had this sink less than a year and after a couple of months noticed that it seemed to be pitting. It is just getting worse and where it was just in the left bowl at first now I am finding small starts in the right bowl. I am working with Blanco who makes this line for Home Depot to see if they will at the least replace it. I will still have to pay again to have it installed. The photo I show magnifies the size of the pitting. It is only about 1/4 to 3/8 inches across but this shows it best. September 4, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't use with hard water Had this sink for five years and over time the white staining on the black was unbearable. It looked like we never kept a clean sink. We tried everything to get off the white calcium/lime. The only thing that covered it up was cleaning then coating the surface with a small bit of cooking oil (which eventually washes off). Recently it cracked from the drain to the front of the sink and water damaged our cabinets below. Now with the under mount situation we're in a mess trying to find someone to take it out and put in a new one. Wouldn't recommend just for the short life of the product, as well as, the discoloration with hard water. August 15, 2015
