The flapper valve is probably warped. Easy to fix, but difficult to get a new flapper valve, since many (most? all?) stores don't carry them. The flapper valve is probably warped. Easy to fix, but difficult to get a new flapper valve, since many (most? all?) stores don't carry them. They appear to have once been available online (model # A2417), but have been out of stock for months. But the toilet is under a 10 year warrantee, so if you call 1-800-831-8383, they will send you a new gasket free of charge.
To fix the valve, remove the top of the toilet tank, grab the top of the tower assembly in the center of the tank, give it a quarter turn counterclockwise until it releases, and pull the whole assembly up and out of the tank. It should come out easily, so if yours doesn't, wiggle it back and forth (first counterclockwise, then clockwise) until it lets loose.
Turn the assembly upside down and you'll see a soft, white gasket at the bottom (the culprit that's causing the leak). The gasket is pliable, so pull on one side until the center hole of the gasket appears. Pull the center hole around the flange in the middle until it's free. The new gasket goes on the same way.
Unfortunately, my replacement gasket had a slightly larger center hole than the original, making it easier to replace, but allowing it to shift from center, which alas, will cause it to leak again. So be careful to position the gasket dead center, or it will leak around the edges. If (when) it does start leaking again, pull the assembly and re-center the gasket. I've had to do this several times since I received my replacement gasket a couple months ago. Poor engineering on Glacier Bay's part to try to skimp on the gasket size. Read Less

Answer:
If it's a dual flush toilet you need only replace the flush valve seal, if it's an old style regular toilet you need to replace the flapper valve.

Hi, Bob.
The tech support team from the manufacturer of the toilet would be best to troubleshoot the consistent running with you. If you purchased a Glacier Bay or Pegasus toilet, you can locate a model number (would be on the box if you still have it, receipt, inside the tank lid, or possibly on the back inside wall of the tank) & give our proprietary brands team a call at 1-877-527-0313 for assistance.

Home Depot does not have any in-stock in store or online. Does anyone know where else this can be purchased or if there is an off brand comparable? We have three of these toilets in our home and I'm wanting to have to purchase all new toilets just because of a valve seal not being able to be purchased.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works for a while Fixes leak for a while so order more to keep on hand. Shipping is slower than the pony express too August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Running toilet It was difficult to figure out what the problem was and why my dual flush toilet was running all the time since no one really has the dual flush type. I finally noticed the original deal on BOTH of my toilets had swelled up in a small area causing water to leak in due to a lack in seal. The new o ring fit it exactly and fixed the problem immediately. August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by like a glove Replacement part worked, fits like a glove. Would recommend June 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by keep on hand It's a good idea to keep 1 of these seals on hand. If you ever need 1. It will take DAYS for it to arrive at the store. The stores don't carry this item. It has to be ordered. Then you have to wait DAYS for it to be delivered. April 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL THE SEAL IS MADE OF ONE PIECE MAKING IT STRONG AND STURDY, MUCH BETTER THAN THE TWO COAT ORIGINAL PART, THE TWO COAT ARE COMING APART. MAKING THE SEAL UNFLAT. March 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Glacier Bay Flush Valve Seal Easy fix. No tools required. Much cheaper than new flush valve. April 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not fit and do not carry right part. I am so disappointed. I have tried twice to find the right part as my daughter had purchased this taller commode for me as I have a bad back. This part started having bubbles appear and was causing the tank to leak. I tried everywhere to find one to fit and could not. Called plumber and he told me I would have to replace the commode as you did not make a replacement. I am on Social Security and this was not in my budget. Home Depot told me that they did not carry this part. It is a flush valve seal with the outside demention of 31/2" and inside is 2". If you could be of help to me I would so appreciate it. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement part worksgreat It was a easy fix, took about 10 minutes to replace. Thank you, for the correct replacement. October 20, 2015
