Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking basic drop-in vanity My sister has an ancient bathroom vanity circa 1950 or 1960 that is in dire need of replacement. Her main concern is a new counter top and faucet, but if she is going to replace those, I figured it made sense to replace the vanity cabinet as well. She wanted white, so I selected this model. I would say this is similar to an Ikea style cabinet, but it is higher quality in a few respects. It comes fully assembled in a box, which is very convenient, making it a simple drop-in installation. In addition to saving the assembly time, this also means that it is assembled using much stronger joints and fasteners than a build-your-own kit would use. This cabinet has dados, brad nails, and pocket hole screws, resulting in a nice rigid cabinet frame that doesn't flex or twist. It is a very solid cabinet. This vanity has plenty of room at the top, so most counters and sinks should have sufficient clearance. The plumbing will need to be on the left side when using this vanity. The cabinet is a mix of plywood, particle board, and some solid wood, but all of the visible surfaces have a white textured vinyl cover. For the price, it is a reasonable compromise, as a painted finish would increase the cost. The color is a very bright white, and looks very crisp and clean. And I'm assuming that it will be easier to clean than the wood stain finishes that I've had to deal with in my house. The only assembly required is to put the three knobs into the pre-drilled holes. The drawer slides are decent, and the euro-style hinges on the door are basic but work well. I have picked up a beautiful white Kohler Ceramic Impressions counter and chrome Kraus Solinder faucet to use with the vanity. The combination looks very nice, and I think the vanity is a good value at a very reasonable price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice simple style The only thing I did not like was that they pre-drilled all the drawers in the center and the door so you can only use knobs and not pulls. I would have preferred it not to come pre-drilled. The finish of the cabinet looks great and I couldn't find any imperfections. The hardware for the drawers is a little cheap but adequate. The front seems to be made from some kind of wood but the box is all pressed board. It seems like its will be easy to clean with the glossy finish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hampton 36 inch vanity I purchased and had this vanity installed by my builder in a lower level bathroom. About 6 mos after installation the guides fell out of the sprockets and the drawer fell inside the cabinet. Upon investigation it was discovered the sprockets were broken and did not hold the drawers in place. I have replaced these sprockets several times and they continue to break. The drawers are heavy and the plastic sprockets are not strong enough to hold the weight of the drawers.i don't put anything in the drawers as this has been a problem since they were installed. I am completely dissatisfied with this product and would not purchase American Classic products in the future. Also I called RSI last week to request replacement sprockets and spoke to a customer service agent who sent me, to my surprise, just 1 sprocket, not a set for right and left sides of the drawers. I have two drawers that need a complete set of replacement sprockets. I cannot fix the problem with 1 sprocket. I could use some help as I do not want to pay a carpenter to replace the complete vanity because of an inferior design...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a nice cabinet! We received the cabinet from the shipper and I was immediately impressed. It was well packed and after unpacking I could see how sturdy the construction is. It included all the hardware which is also of good quality. The finish is excellent and the all wood construction is a pleasant addition to the laundry room where we placed it. I added a full counter top and it makes an excellent sorting table. The drawers are deep and slide well even when they are fully loaded. They seat well and the rollers are excellent. This would do well in a bath as well. The finish and trim are very attractive.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from You get what you pay for This vanity replaced a 40 year old cabinet in a rental unit. This unit will not last that long. It is cheaply made ..... staples holding the cabinet together .... drawer rails supported in from by 1/4 inch screws and masonite. It came damaged (a side panel which is not visible ... so I did not return/exchange it) For the price, frankly, I'm disappointed as well. If I paid 100 dollars I would not expect much in terms of quality construction. However one does not need pay 500 for dollars for a quality unit. So .. this unit falls in between. Yes .. it will work ... yes it looks nice. But .. no ... it's not a quality made nor quality material product.
