This is a very attractive vanity with a really cool top that includes an attached basin. This combo unit makes having a stylish vanity and basin affordable for almost anyone. I think it's unusual to find such a good looking and nicely made combo unit at this price point and I am very pleased with it. It includes nice looking handles-and we all know how expensive just the handles/pulls can be for cabinets. I like having the 2 drawers on the side rather than just 1 or 2 doors. This makes the plumbing work a little tighter for a bigger guy like me but it's worth the little extra effort for the convenience of having the drawers and for the enhanced appearance.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Busdriver BEAUTIFUL VANITY
The vanity arrived with no damages to box or vanity. The vanity was packaged extremely well. After unpacking vanity, I was able to install a new faucet on it. The installation was simple except I had to cut out the back for the water and sewer to pass through. The color of the vanity is beautiful. It is called "JAVA". It is like a dark chocolate. If you like a dark color for your vanity, I would completely recommend this vanity.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JPN80 Distressed Slate = mostly grays with punches of patina green, Backsplash built in, No overflow hole in basin, vanity base the same as Metro with Sand
The concrete vanity top looks more solid surface than cement; however the underside looks like cement. It's also not as heavy as an actual concrete vanity top. The countertop color, distressed slate, is a combination of mostly grays with dabs of patina green. The concrete vanity is slightly thicker and taller than the Metro with Sand solid surface countertop.
The countertop also has an integrated backsplash; the Metro with Sand solid surface countertop does neither come with a backsplash nor is it available for purchase. Both versions of the Metro vanity don't have sidesplashes for purchase as well.
The vanity base is the same as the Metro with Sand solid surface countertop; it's a nice rich dark brownish red color. Although the vanity base is made of particleboard, it still is looks nicely made and complements the Moroccan Slate vinyl tiles.
The vanity has two deep drawers on the right side and the one door on the left side; the plumbing will have to fit on the left side since the drawers will be in the way. The drawer and door handles look more like brushed nickel handles against the concrete top.
If I had to chose between the two Metro vanities, I would chose the concrete vanity top because it has a backsplash, looks more substantial than the sand vanity top, and appeals to the industrial design aesthetic I like for bathrooms.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Steve Arrived with slight damage
My vanity arrived much quicker than I expected after ordering it online sight unseen. It ships in a single box with the top and vanity wrapped separately. The inspection, after it was unboxed, revealed a slightly chipped corner and a little sticky residue on the right side which cleaned up easily with a shot of WD-40 and a paper towel. The top was packed well with Styrofoam and cardboard so I don't know how the chips happened. Fortunately my installation puts the chipped corner against a wall so it won't be seen. The vanity was fully assembled less installation of the drawer and door pulls, the holes are pre-drilled.
The carcass is made from laminated fiberboard and the drawers are solid wood. The drawer glides were properly aligned and the drawers move smoothly. The solid back panel is made from hardboard and an opening must be cut for the water and drain lines. My lines come up through the floor so I'll have to drill holes through the base. Once the base is in place, leveled and plumbed, there's a substantial mounting cleat at the rear.
This is my first experience with a concrete top and I expected it to have a textured finish but it's impressively smooth. I'd be hard pressed to believe it's concrete but it's obvious when you view the back and bottom. The sink bowl is molded in as one piece with the top so cleaning will be very easy. To make my life easier I always install the faucet before siliconing the top to the base.
Glacier Bay includes a Limited 5 Year Warranty to the original purchaser.

This is a very modern stylish vanity and I really like the java color. The reinforced concrete vanity top goes great with the other colors in the bathroom. The vanity top has an integrated sinks with no lines and this makes it super easy to clean and maintain. The drawers slide out easily and there is plenty of access room for the drain and water hookups. The back is total enclosed so it does require access holes to be drilled for the water and drain connections. Great looking vanity that is very functional and easy to install.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaneDame High end vanity styling at an affordable price
I have a smaller Glacier Bay java vanity in my downstairs bath, and I've been very pleased with it. So when the opportunity arose to get this Metro model for my larger upstairs bath, I decided to get it.
This vanity is well-constructed, solidly built, and features ample space under the sink, as well as the two drawers, for everything from towels to toiletries. The base is transitional in its style, and would fit in well in a variety of decor settings. The java finish gives it a classy "high end" feel, and I especially like the unique matte-finished top, which even comes with a backsplash. Top this vanity off with its contemporary brushed nickel hardware, and you have a very attractive piece of bath furniture.
The vanity install was pretty straightforward, and about as easy as my previous vanity-- make sure you install your faucet in the sink top before you attach it to the base-- it's way easier. The whole install/assembly took me about an hour, and this vanity really ramps up the appearance of my main bath!
Very pleased with this Metro model from Glacier Bay. I'd recommend it.
