I purchased 2 of these for hanging in a home workout room. They were packaged decently and I found NO defects of any kind on them. Smooth edges - nothing sharp - don't need any frame if you don't want one. They are listed online as 1/4 inch, but are actually 1/8 thick and labelled correctly on their packaging. I wanted 1/8 anyway and just confirmed it visually before buying them. They are light enough for one person to carry, but I would definitely suggest using 2 people for actually hanging these. The included clips/hangers wok just fine. I bought and used some additional hangers just because I tend to overdo things like that. I used 4 on the bottom (48" length) and 2 on the top. The screws they include are fine for going into studs, but for just drywall you will need to get yourself some drywall screw-sets. I found very very minimal distortion in these mirrors. For working out, I really don't notice it at all - and sometimes I'm only about 2 feet from the mirror. I look for the distortions to see them. If you wanted to use it as a vanity mirror in a bathroom, then you'd probably want a 1/4 mirror, but for workout rooms or decor these are plenty good IMHO.
Very happy with these and would buy again.

Specifications on web page show thickness of 1/4" (.25"), however the product is actually just 3mm thick, or 1/8" (.125"). This does make the mirror weigh only half what it would otherwise be if it were a quarter-inch thick, and it is much easier to handle.

Based on other reviews, I opted to also purchase j-channel and mirror mastic for installation of this mirror. I picked it up and transported it home just fine - no issues and no breakage. The product was in fine working order. My issue happened to be with the thickness of the mirror and the mastic which has since resolved itself. After installing the mirror, there were minor waves in the glass. I can only assume because of the thickness of the mirror, it was more prone to bending slightly. It had minor distortions as a result. A couple months later, the distortions are gone. I don't know if the mastic was pliable enough to allow the mirror to rebound or if drywall got pealed off but it's all good now. If you wall isn't perfectly flat or if a stud's crown is going to be behind the mirror, just take into consideration the flex of the mirror.

First one cracked while loading into truck. Bought another and when I got home found numerous defects where there was black blemishes within the mirror. Returned and cut my losses, didn't buy another.

This mirror is terrific and a super value. A glass company quoted me 3 times s much for this size. I love the fact that it thinner and therefore much, much lighter than older 1/4" mirrors. It allows even a small person to install it unassisted. Terrific product - I am buying another for a different room.

It will reflect whatever you put in front of it nicely. Duh.

This mirror looks really nice in our bathroom. Home Depot is a good place to shop.
