I suddenly lost pressure

Have had this model for about 3 months. Have had nothing but good things to say so far. After rinsing breakfast dishes this morning, the facet all of a sudden would not discharge more than a trickle. I checked the aerator, supply lines, copper lines where connections are made. No visible blockages or sediment. Working fine one minute, unfunctional the next! Help!
Asked by: zachb
FIXED - I just had the same issue. The backflow preventers/check valves inside the Quick Connect were causing the restriction, resulting in lower pressure at the faucet. I assume they became clogged over time due to hard water sediment buildup. Remove the Quick Connect and hose from the fixture by pushing in on the blue tabs and pulling down. Then you can unscrew the Quick Connect (black plastic tube) from the hose. There are two little white check valves inside the Quick Connect. They can be pushed out with something thin like a screwdriver or pencil. Plumbing codes require these backflow preventers/check valves to prevent contamination of the water system, which in the case of this faucet requires at least two things to happen: 1. The sprayer head is submerged in a sink full of dirty water with the faucet ON and 2. An event occurs that causes a backflow at that fixture, such as a water main break or drain down of the water in the building for repairs etc.

This September water pressure low - read current reviews re pressure, tried to buy replacement cartridge. Home Depot does not stock, so called for parts service under lifetime warranty. Said they were sending new cartridge. Following the adage "You get what you pay for", the free part never arrived. In November, ordered by part number from HD on line. Could not remove old cartridge due to dissimilar metal corrosion inside handle body, even after uninstalling entire faucet from sink. Returned new cartridge to HD store and purchased other than Glacier Bay single hole pull down faucet >$100.

The product looks pretty and is easy to install but has horrible water pressure. I am a plumber, I have disassembled, back flushed, cleaned everything I possibly could, yet I still have better pressure out of my bathroom sink faucets. The feed hose has good pressure but it is lost in the head, taking water from a smaller diameter pipe to a large diameter pipe causes a decrease in pressure. It's a lousy mechanical design. The photo shows how weak the stream is, both hot and cold are on, full blast. It has ran like this since purchase, faucet was purchased Jun/Jul 2016.

Buy at your own risk............This same product failed after 9 months of use. The plumber that came out showed me how the hoses started leaking and damaged my new kitchen cabinets below due to leaking constantly. Home depot told me I have to call the manufacturer to ask for a replacement/refund. I researched and found out Glacier Bay is Home Depots store brand and is made by Chinese, and/or Taiwan companies. So I asked Home depot for the manufacturers #. They said I would have to come in and get it, and couldn't give it to over the phone. The manager and other person trying to help on the phone didn't even know Glacier Bay was their own stores brand. We also have a bathroom sink glacier Bay faucet and it has issues as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! I love my new faucet and soap dispenser! It is a perfect match with my stainless steel sink and dresses up my little kitchen so much! The sprayer is awesome! So much better than the plastic sprayer I had that was on the side of my faucet. I would highly recommend this faucet for the people who cannot afford the higher priced ones. I plan to be using this one for a long time!

The sprayer pressure is high. I have had an ongoing problem with the soap dispenser. I replaced it once and have to clean and prime it often to get it to work. The warranty service is great! Home Depot gave us no hassle. The next faucet I get will have a more reliable soap dispenser and an adjustable sprayer.

It was harder taking out the existing faucet then it was to install the new one. Also, the unit itself is very functional which makes the wifey happy. The unit has a nice look and style to it and a good feel and the actual handle when you're turning the water on and off.

The main nut that holds the faucet to the sink is similar to a "super bolt" which is used in critical engineering applications. The advantage in this application is you can easily tighten or loosen with a screw driver, rather than a basin wrench.
