Answer:
You don't, mount it horizontal twist it so that the slot is vertical and your hose will fit very well. You'll notice there's a slight taper put the narrow part of the taper down then your showerhead should fit just fine.

Jamie, hope you figured this out, the device doesn't come forward but if you can turn the u shaped part to the right or left so it's horizontal, the the wands handle or the hose should fit fine in this manner. Don't try to turn the whole gizmo at the base.

Hello Jamie, the piece that holds the shower arm can rotate. Just lightly turn the top piece where the hold is and it will turn to face outward.

Suction issues

I apologize for starting a new question but can't ask for more help for same issue. As my previous question explained, I have tried everything but can't get the suction to work The black thick rubber piece is flat, probably due to being incased with the plastic. Or perhaps it is designed this way. Many other suction cups are bell shaped so that when it is pressed, it creates the vacuum. But not this product.

Is it supposed to be bell shaped or flat? Would it help to keep the clear plastic holder off of it for a few day? How do I get the darn thing to work? I would like to use the suction feature so I can see exactly where I want it, then I may or may not use the adhesive feature. Being of the fiberglass variety, I don't want to drill holes in the one piece tub and surround.

Kindest regards,

Hello, the suction is flat until the holder is rotated then it will have a small indent in the middle to allow the product to suction to the wall. If this is what you are doing and it is still not working you can return to Home Depot or email us info@homewerksww.com and we will send you another under you warranty. Read Less

Answer:
The answer is it is not a suction cup, on the one I bought there's a red plastic sheet when I pealed it off there's an adhesive, it's sticking very well.
In my comment to Home Depot I told them the only problem with this product was the lack of instructions as you are finding out.

Answer:
To remove the clear plastic bracket from the unit, I had to take it back to Home Depot and the guy at the service desk used pliers to bend the bracket enough that it popped off the unit. If anyone was going to break it, I preferred it to be them.

Answer:
The holder will need to be rotated to the left, releasing the suction to the plastic mount. Once you have done this, you can pull the holder straight up out of the mount. Thank you for your inquiry.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I expected :-( Hard to get the mount off; the hose doesn't fit properly in the holder. I had to return the first one because, even after calling product support, I couldn't get the base off, and the whole thing came apart. The second one was easier to get off, and screwing it in the wall was fairly simple, but the hose does not fit properly in the holder. The directions are wrong too. It says to mark the holes through the base, and then remove the base. Well, you can't exactly mark the holes with the base still attached. I also wish Home Depot carried more than one brand. At my store, this was the only option for handheld shower holders. August 26, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Mount For Added Flexibility And Mobility My wife has severe RA and requires a bath chair to use for her bathing. The existing hand-held shower was mounted on the shower head fixture, approximately six feet high. That was far too challenging for her to reach while sitting in her bath seat in the tub. So, this Glacier Bay Personal Shower Mount solved that dilemma. I mounted it forty-eight inches high from the bottom of her tub two feet from the front of her chair so she can easily reach it. This mount provides her reach and mobility. She can effortlessly remove it from the mount to use as hand-held, or, aim her hand shower towards her lock it into place freeing both her hands. This mount will conveniently 'lock' your hand-held shower in place with a quarter turn to the right - unlock in reverse. Additionally, we bathe our Grand Kids in this same tub, and they love the hand-held mounted on the wall nearer to them. This shower mount is ideal as a primary or secondary shower mount. It can easily be installed anywhere on your existing shower walls using the included, screws and anchors, or, with the provided adhesive pad. I installed this mount with the adhesive, which requires 24 hours for the to set and cure before use. This mount has been installed for over two weeks now and works great and holds securely. I highly recommend the purchase of this mount for added flexibility and mobility of your hand-held shower. March 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's working well. Very easy to install the adsevice is working very well. It also has the ability to be installed with screws which if it should fail in the future I will be able to remounted with screws which will be very secure thank you August 2, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by poor design/ instructions useless This one mounts in any one of three ways -- screw, suction or adhesive. If you want an adhesive mount, it appears to be "peel and stick". Just make sure you have the holder (which sticks out to the side of the base) facing with the wide opening up. The handle of the hand held shower will not fit in it. It is designed to hold only the collar of the hose (the part that screws to the base of the shower head) For suction mount, the instructions call for you to remove the mounting bracket (which then reveals the black suction pad beneath it). However, the plastic mounting bracket (which also has to be removed and then reattached if you want a screw-mount) wraps around the base and has to be manhandled to remove it from the unit. I took it back to Home Depot and the guy at the service desk had to use pliers to bend the plastic enough to get it to snap off. Lastly, during your shower, the shower head suddenly may spin or pivot in the smooth plastic holder, spraying water everywhere, unless you wrap a thin rubber band around the base of the shower head to give it some friction. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does its job! I read all the reviews after I bought simply because I was going to review it myself and I gotta say they must have improved it since these bad reviews. It has two screw holes for the that mount option. The suction ( the method I chose to use) has withstood two young children that shower their selves and two adults use without fail. If I were to use the screw method I would peel off the sticky for added strength. Over all it has exceeded my expectation of performance. Glad I chose it to help my children reach it better! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great shower holder. Just stuck it on the wall and it works great!! Love it! June 28, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality Product quality is very poor. It is unstable and can not hold the hand shower straight. There is a play in this holder and as soon as you put the shower it will bend to one direction or other. I wil not recommend this product. May 25, 2016
