Answer:
Yes - there is a template, but it is not correct. I found the overall outside dimensions of the two posts to be smaller than actual. More importantly, the hole placement is not correct on the template. If you were drilling on tile - you might be pretty disappointed. Luckily it was drywall for us and we made it work.

Answer:
Apologies, Shirley, but we do not currently have the instructions available in our system. If you received the unit and they were not included, please give our Glacier Bay team a call at 877-527-0313 with the model or SKU number so they can assist. If you have not purchased the item yet, I believe the unit should include the instructions.
Thank you for reaching out.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Pretty good - but the hole template is off It is only a toilet paper holder so not a huge deal...The install was ok and it looks ok. However, the hole template for this is different than the actual clip hole dimensions. The outline of the actual holder posts are also different size. I didn't think I had to check that the hardware holes match the template holes on the paper for this product, but I should have. I made it work, but it was kinda silly that it was off. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by just what we wanted We had been looking for a product like this for a while. Just what we wanted. Installation was a little hard but it looks good. December 8, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poorly made but will do the job I bought this and the towel holder. They have the same problem. This review will be almost a copy of the other review. One of the four screws had a defect and was unusable. I had to go find replacement. This was especially annoying as I had just spent a good 45 minutes hunting down replacement screws for the towel rack. The one thing better about the toilet paper holder than the towel rack is that the end caps are placed on their support brackets without the rod in place (because the toilet paper rod is meant to come) so I didn't scratch the walls trying to get the end caps in place. This is a porcelain, not plastic unit. It is heavy and you will need the mollies. It looks nice but the quality of the screws really made me mad. June 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great addition This product looks great with the other ceramic additions we purchased. I solid performer and is a high quality product! December 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by installed quickly and good value what can you say about a toilet paper holder ? I liked the fact that it was available in white as was able to match sink and toilet color without using too much brushed nickel which has a cold look. installation was easier for me as diameter of wall mounts large enough to cover wall marks made by unit I removed April 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality control After four trips back to Home Depot, I was completely finished with these products. I purchased the 24", 18" towel bars, and the toilet paper holder. This was a complete nightmare from the word go. It started with the installation of the 24" towel rack, there were deformed ends in the porcelain pieces where the rod goes into. Had to use parts from the 18" to make one unit. Meanwhile the metal clips that attached to the wall, where the porcelain ends slide onto, where not a tight fit. You can take the metal clips and place them on a hard surface with a hammer to expand them so they will fit tighter into the porcelain ends. Hence the poor quality control. I took the 18" back to the store to swap it out, got back home and there were to left sides in the box (useless). Took that one back. grabbed the last three on the shelf, took them to customer service, and low and behold two of them were packaged with wrong pieces. So out of the two packages, and the one I brought back we were able to make one up. Took that home, installed it. less than a week later the porcelain where the rod goes in broke, and the rod slid all the way to one side and fell out. Talk about done with a project. Took everything back and swapped even up for the Delta Alexandria series, which by the way also has the slip over the bracket design, which fit perfectly. Bottom line if you want to save the hart ache, read the other reviews on these products and stay away. By far the worst products I have ever received from Home Depot. These items should be removed from the stores. July 22, 2014
