Rated 1 out of 5 by Worthless! This toilet seat is not wood. It's a very thin veneer. It wasn't finished well at all and was rough as soon as I took it out of the package. The finish started peeling within weeks, but I thought maybe I could sand it down and put a coat of varnish on it. When I went to sand it, it wasn't the finish peeling, it was the veneer and it's particle board composition underneath. Can't find the receipt, so I threw it away a month after buying. I don't understand why they would sell something this bad. January 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Piece of junk Was installed less than a month before coming loose and the screws fell out from being stripped because it's pressed wood. Bought a solid oak one from 'mart. STAY AWAY!!! Not worth ANY stars. April 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by absolute piece of junk If I could give this no stars I would. The quality of their oak toilet seats has drastically changed. I had this seat a total of 2 weeks before the lid fell off of the screws. I charged it and haven' t even paid for it yet. Save your money. July 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst toilet seat manufactured Poorly manufactured, cheap, uncomfortable. Chrome hinges/screws constantly coming off causing the seat to slide and who wants their rear to hit the naked toilet. Purchased this in August and since I didn't have the receipt couldn't get a refund. October 29, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Defective The hinges on the one I bought aren't fastened evenly to the seat. Bolts then don't line up evenly in the holes. When nuts are tightened seat cocks to one side and slips off rim of toilet. Was going to loosen one hinge and line it up to save a trip back to the store but one of the Phillips head screws was stripped out. With mass production if one is like this probably thousands like it. The way it is packaged can't open it to inspect it before buying either without destroying the packaging. Poor quality control the whole way around. Home Depot is usually very good about refunding or exchanging products but still have the inconvenience of two trips to store and doing the job twice.
