Are you able to take this apart after its installed to fit on a pocketed curtain or do you have to use hooks?

I have 1 it's great !!! Order it. I want to buy a new inside curtain that does not require hooks. I finally found something that will work there without (pocketed top design) Prefer not to Uninstall as its screwed into my tile

You need to use hooks or rings with it. It is a permanent mount.

Why is it called "rust proof" in the description and "rust resistant" in the details?

Asked by: Bakergirl
I do not know, but it is neither. See my review for pictures of ours.

Rustproof 72 in. Adjustable Permanent Mount Double Shower Rod in Chrome is rated 2.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rusted It was very simple to install, and looked great at first. After about 6 months it started to rust, and it looks terrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice quality for the price We're remodeling our VERY small bathroom and this product is a great space saver. My husband likes to hang his towel on the shower rod, so this product allows him to do that without me having to move his towel when I need to close the curtain. Based on the product description I assumed I would have to modify this curtain rod to fit my 52" tub/shower. However, when I got it home and out of the box I determined that it would fit without any modifications. I used a laser level to mark the holes for the screws, which made installation easier that it would have been otherwise. In the end it took about a half hour to install it and I'm thrilled with the results. Some of the other reviews questioned the quality of the product/metal, but based on the price I'm very happy with the value. The finish matches the rest of the chrome hardware in our bathroom nicely.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed The idea of this rod seemed perfect. However, my husband had a very hard time installing due to the limited space and the tiny size of the allen wrench. The towel rack is just too close to the shower rod itself to make it useful. We're still throwing our bath mat over the entire rod rather than using the rack for its intended purpose.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible The second bar broke off before I even got the unit installed. I barely touched it, and there's no way to fix it. Quality is very poor.
