Are there drainage holes on the bottoms of the feet?

My question was not answered properly by the manufacturer who said "This product was designed to withstand any water collecting on top or on the support legs." "On Top" or "On" the support legs does not tell me whether water will collect INSIDE what appears to be rubber feet, or it they have an opening. Anybody else out there care to take a stab at an answer? Thanks

Yes, rubber cups on each leg & have a drainage hole in them.

Do the legs on this seat collect with water that enters into the height adjustment holes, or is there a drainage hole on the foot?

I am concerned that the adjustment holes will allow water to enter into each of the legs and then sit in the "foot" until the legs rust out. If there is a drain hole, then there should be no problem. Thanks.
Asked by: Karie
No. Water doesn't collect & the bottom has a rubber foot with a drainage hole.

Customer Reviews

Tub and Shower Corner Seat in Faux Teak is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made but odd shape This shower chair is very nice looking and durable. Much better than the standard medical chair. Very Sturdy and feels solid. I would give it 5 stars easily but it is an odd shape and does not fit in a corner. I know why they made it the size was due to making it sturdy and not tipping easy but it sticks out slightly into the shower. This chair definitely, definitely would not fit in the standard shower only stall. My shower is 32"X42" and it barely fits in without having to move it while entering the shower. Otherwise this is a very well made, nice looking shower chair and would be excellent for those who have a larger shower area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stigma removed due to look Sought shower seat for senior family member. It truly looks teak wood & is the only seat that doesn't look like it belongs in nursing home. It is easy to assemble, very sturdy, tri-legged but truly stable for senior use. Two other great points: fits in shower better and allows to walk around rather than blocking stall; was 1/2 the price of the other horribly depressing seats that look like medical equipment on sale at Home Depot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Caution Product failed to assemble properly. The legs, 2 out of 3, would not seat correctly, There is a horizontal indented line on each leg which indicates the depth of embedment in the socket. Each leg went in to a different depth causing the stool to not sit level. Also, there is a vertical keyway inside each leg socket that needs to be aligned with the corresponding vertical groove at the base of each leg for the leg to be properly seated. Not achieving full depth and not being seated on the tongue and groove gave me safety concerns. I returned the product to the store. thesr

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, our problem solved! We have a 32" square shower and a 6' tall man who is unable to stand long enough to complete a shower. We've tried a rectangular bench which didn't allow enough knee room. We tried a commode (without the bucket) and there was even less room for him. FINALLY, our problem is solved with this seat. We placed the shorter side against the wall opposite the shower controls. There was enough room for him to get one leg around the front of it in order to straddle it. The seat comes out far enough between his legs that he was able to push on it in order to stand. It's the first time he's been able to shower independently for over a year. Even though it says it's a corner seat, there isn't a 90-degree angle...obviously, that isn't a problem for us. Thank you for an excellent product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as nice as I would have liked I was looking for an inexpensive shower seat and this was the least expensive I could find. (authentic teak is evidently very expensive) This seat is bulky and took up too much room in the shower stall and the faux teak is not attractive - looks cheap. After struggling with it, I replaced it with a Lucite spa seat from Bed Bath & Beyond that met our needs much better for the amount of space it occupies, for the way it looks and it was less expensive. We are huge fans of Home Depot, this is just one purchase that did not work out for us.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Takes up a lot of room. I had hoped this would fit neatly in the corner, but it is an elongated triangle so it sticks out into the shower stall quite a bit. It is tippy if you don't sit on it the right way, so be carefull.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Big Would be nice if the seat was smaller. Took up too much in the shower. Hard for my ailing mother-in-law to get past it to take a shower.
