So I bought this item for my newly painted room and added it to the water based paint, it says to only add to latex but since I don't know any better I said screw it. So far I haven't seen anything bad come out of it with the paint. The paint looks fine and smells great!! I only painted one room but it is so strong that it fills up the whole house. The room is in the very back of the house and I can smell it as soon as I walk in through the front door.
So now the warning, don't go crazy and add the entire bottle to the paint. I think it said to add this to one gallon of paint but please use way less than the recommended. The paint has been up for a solid week now and it is still strong. I have allergies that get severe when I am constantly fighting it. I get a headache. I gave it 5 stars because the product works as directed. Being dissatisfied with the product is not an issue since I was being dumb about it.
Advise, pick a smell that is soft and only add a bit here and there to whatever you are painting. Do not add the entire bottle into one room.

I used it when I painted my bathroom. It's super simple and smells great, I can smell it as soon as I walked in the house which is awesome when you have 2 dogs.

We bought a big old house that was pretty smelly, so I used one container of this additive in the gallon of paint I used for the top coat in our living room, and now the room smells faintly of pineapple, which is a hundred times better than the old smell. This is great stuff!

I highly recommend this product--used it along with some regular-grade Kilz paint to completely mask and eliminate an incredibly bad pet odor on a hardwood closet floor after removing the carpet.
One note: I can't believe how dumb the packaging is in this product. Why not a packet?
Why make it look like a bottle, and package it in a hard-plastic package that will tear open the actual fake bottle and spill it all over the place the first time you use it?
If you take a close look at the product picture above, you'll see a small diagram Glade uses to show how 'simple' the product is to use. Hopefully you'll also see how ridiculous it seems for them to produce a vacuum-bubble package that's a useless attempt to fake a bottle. The vacuum-bubble product container breaks FAR too easily, so you'll want to get that out of the way before you spill and waste any all over yourself (and walk around smelling like flowers unless you change, and wash your hands repeatedly).
This is what happened to me. An ounce of the product got all over my hands, clothes, and floor, so my initial experience was a pretty poor one, but I was certainly able to salvage enough of this product to 'flavor' at least a gallon of paint (wish I'd used less, actually, but floor covering will do a lot to cover how unnaturally 'sweet and flowery' my closet floor smells a day after!).
IF Glade will quit faking a little bottle that looks like a long bottle of 'White-Out', they'll make their customers happy. I'm sure I'm not the only one who had a negative experience with the packaging, yet think the product works well enough.
