My review will cover the entire Gladiator line of cabinets since I bought just about 1 of everything.
I looked at all the garage cabinet choices from all the competitors. I really liked the look of the diamond plate doors. The doors alone will fool you into thinking that this is some seriously heavy duty cabinetry. Not so. I'll get to that.
I chose these cabinets for the look and great price.
First off, and this is where the "Let's be honest" review title comes from, things simply are not built like they used to be. These cabinets are made in China. They are absolutely the thinnest gauge necessary. The hardware is of the least acceptable quality. In fact, some of the screws for the cabinet backs are self-threading. Oh! Don't over tighten them. In fact, don't tighten them at all. As soon as they bottom out, stop! They strip out immediately. And because they are self-threading, you have push at least some while attempting to get them started. That little bit of push can buckle the metal you're trying to put them in.
I will say that the packaging is really good. However, with the packaging being so good how did I still manage to have several panels that were damaged? In fact, one panel was bent bad enough (a corner) that the little bit of body work that I did to it caused all the finish to chip off. But, I needed cabinets right now and I wasn't going to drive all over the country side and deal with mail order returns.
The drawers are flimsy as all get out. The slides are the worst quality. They don't slide well. They don't fit well. In fact, I have one drawer that constantly comes off track. I keep light stuff in that one.
These cabinets are not square. All of the adjustment is there, but it's finicky. The doors have oblong holes for adjustment. The feet have adjustments. But try adjusting one of these cabinets. It's impossible to get it right. You can only get it kinda sorta close. Then, move the cabinet a few inches to get it into place and wham! The whole thing is out of whack again.
Overall, these cabinets look good, but they are cheaply built by foreign labor.

I purchased a bunch of the hanging and base cabinets and a three of the big free standing.
For the hanging cabinets I used the used the gear tracks but decided I didn't need a lower piece to level it as I just used a long piece of 1 x 2 firiring strip , much cheaper.
I hung the gear track and strip on a concrete block wall with tapcons. Very easier and easy to slide around to position. ..and sturdy . I assembled and hung by myself. No problem

I saw these cabinets in a competitors store and was able to touch and feel them before I bought them. Despite coming from China, these are well made with a durable finish. HD price matched the competitor and I used ship to store to save on shipping costs. Assembly was very easy. I purchased 7 of these cabinets. I assembled one with directions and the other 6 without. They only flaw I encountered is that on the back panel on all 7 cabinets there were two screw holes that were drilled but not tapped so the screws would not go through. I have a tap and die set so I was able to tap the holes and insert the screws. I also purchased the gear track wall panels for installing in my garage. Installation of the panels was time consuming, but worth it. I did need the help of a neighbor installing the panels to ensure they were straight and level. The cabinets turned my disorganized workbench and homemade shelving in to a functional and usable space.
