I purchased two of these units. My family was visiting for Thanksgiving and we picked them up. After getting them home BOTH were damaged and defective! Bent rails! I live 45 minuts from Home Depot!
I will say Home Depot did right by me. Their customer service is awesome. Ordered me two new racks, shipped them to my house, and arranged a pickup of the defective ones at no cost to me.
Upon receiving the two new racks and guess what!.... ANOTHER RAIL WAS DAMAGED! 1/4 units were usuable!
To summarize. These racks are awesome, when they aren't damaged on arrival. If you buy these, do not take them outside of the store until you check them for quality.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Andi Poor Quality Control
Though I love the sturdiness of this product, I am disappointed with the manufacturer's lack of quality control. I received not one but two items that were defective. The side support (horizontal) rails on each were twisted. The first making it impossible to use the shelving, so I had to return the item. The second time I received the shelves, all three horizontal support rails were twisted on one side of the shelving unit. One rail shows signs of obvious damage made during packaging.
I am still waiting to hear if I will receive a replacement part.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by John Strong, clever engineering
Previous reviewer said "heavy, bring help to pick up." Good advise, but found out when the straps are cut the entire top of the box lifts off and components are bundled separately so you can easily remove them. Open the box when it's still on the trolley.
The instructions suggest using two people when assembling. I did it myself, but a second person would be helpful. It went together well once I understood the engineering except for the inevitable last piece. One support beam had an undetectable slight bow and I had to use a pipe clamp to draw the support beams together less than 1/8th " so I could snap the tie channel support in place.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Moose1 Sturdy Utility Shelving
Having previously purchased "economy" utility shelving which eventually bent, rusted, and fell apart, I decided to invest a little more money this time on a heavy duty option for my garage makeover. I was pleasantly surprised by the ruggedness, sturdiness, and high quality of this unit. An unexpected feature was the assembly process, which required no tools, no poorly translated step-by-step instructions, and can be completed in under 5 minutes.

Gladiator is top notch garage ware. This shelf is stylish and works great. Holds everything you can throw at it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 211313267239 " What a great product "
To be quite honest , I was somewhat daunted by the size of the box when this item arrived. However, after seeing the video on the installation of a similar product, ( a 3 shelf unit by Gladiator), I decided to dive right in. I was quite surprised how easily everything went together. I braced one end against my garage door to get started then everything went together like I did this for a living. My wife later stated that she was surprised that she didn't hear the usual swearing coming from the garage as is the case when something arrives at our house and needs " some assembly".
As the title indicates this really is an awesome product. It is very strong and if I ever move, this baby is coming with me.My garage is now organized way better than it was, and I am extremely happy with Gladiator( part of Whirlpool Corp.) for manufacturing a great product , and Home Depot for supplying quality products ,such as these.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Chunk Disappointed
Very disappointed after opening the box to find the bottom part of the frame was bent. I noticed others have complained of similar issues so this seems to be a problem with packaging or shipping. Because this is a special order it takes 1-2 weeks to arrive at the store. We had the entire garage cleaned out and a sitter for our infant twins so we had no choice but to set it up anyway without returning. It does not appear to affect the strength of the unit but just very disappointed that it looks bad.
On a positive note the assembly was very easy and the shelving unit itself is quite sturdy.
I have a photo, but had issues uploading it. I will try to attach later to illustrate the defect.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by SomeGuy Returned Because of Damage
Ordered 2 of these racks during the Black Friday sale and waited about 5 business days for them to arrive at the store. When I picked these up from the local Home Depot, the boxes had no visible damage. Upon opening them at home I discovered that BOTH had bent support rails and shelves and were unusable. Since the boxes were not visibly damaged on the exterior the damage must have occurred early in the packing or shipping process. Anyway, I returned both to Home Depot for a refund. Make sure you have 4 able bodied helpers to help you carry and load these. This has set my basement improvement project back by weeks. Fortunately, the Home Depot people didn't give me any hassle when returning these items.
