Love the Gearwall system! It looks great and very easy to install. I would recommend and impact drill when installing.

You couldn't ask for anything easier as far as installation in a quality storage product. Simply level the panel on the wall and drive screws through each slat into every stud. You'll go through a fair number of screws (no hardware is included) but the panel won't budge.
I majorly cut down on space occupied by tools, particularly the long handled ones. Several varieties of the hook accessories are deep and strong enough to hold two or even three tools on one. Now not only have I opened up space in the corners of my garage so I can put in cabinets, I've also still have the space on the floor to use beneath the tools. I'm already looking to see where I can put more of these for different needs.

The Gladiator Gear Wall 2-Pack via Home Depot was the most affordable option. I used ship-to-store and this was quite easy to handle. Attaching the Gear Wall Panels was easy after studs were marked and a header was attached to seat the panels on to assure level.

Decent product, but a tad expensive. Buy on special.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by musicman27pa Great wall system for the intermediate DIYer -- love the flexibility in the finished product and the look
Bought 60 boxes to do all 4 walls in a two car garage. One wall done so far (1 weekend). Used a 360 rotary laser level and marked the base starting points. Picked up plastic Diablo blade for the 10" table saw -- cut like butter. Also picked up a fresh "plastic" blade for the jig saw to cut out outlets ans a cheap set of hole saw blades for cut outs.
Also picked up Grip-rite white 2 1/4" screws versus the gladiator screws which had horrible reviews. The grip-rite worked like a champ -- I broke two out of the 100s that were used with my impact gun. Very secure hold. Still will take two full weekends to do the other walls but helps that we have a nice system in place. Definitely a two person -- 3 weekend job to do a two car garage (floor to ceiling) with cutouts for outlets and obstructions.
Very important to keep a level line while installing this product to void gaps.

This a metal version of something from Ikea. Some assembly required. The metal gage isn't very thick but when put together it is okay.
