I was tired of plastic storage cabinets degrading over time in the FL heat... sagging shelves, doors sticking, becoming brittle and cracking. Decided on a more expensive metal unit with the hopes it will hold up in this environment. Picked it up at my local HD store, packaging was in good shape and no problem with the unit when I unpackaged it. Assembly took about 1.5 hours with everything square, sturdy and working as it should. I put it on the casters provided so I could easily move it when I power wash the floor... not an option with the plastic units. If I keep to the recommended shelf load guidelines, I should get what I paid for.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Katiepal Sturdy Storage Cabinet!!
I needed a cabinet to store groceries, and canned food items to put in my basement. I looked around at various stores and didn't find anything but plastic to hold my can goods. I decided to look online. I would rather see something in-person but nowadays these stores do not carry every item they sell. I finally bought this item because each shelf could hold like 40 lbs. and I wanted the cabinet to be raised up because this old house gets water in my basement. It does look commercial and not a little more decorative as I would have preferred, but it serves the purpose. We also went to pick it up when it came in because I didn't want to pay shipping fees of $55.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Doug I'd Add Some Locking Nuts
I like my Guardian cabinets (2), but don't love them. If you're going to be storing anything heavy in them, it's probably not the right solution,. The steel used is just a little too light to retain the rigidity required. Much of the rigidity is supposed to come from the machine screws engaging the sheet metal which sort of works, but after a few months, mine started flexing too much for the doors to close. After adding 20 locking nuts to each, they are much more rigid, but there's still noticeable flex in the frame. Given the price of these things, I was expecting a little more durability.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Frank Good looking and sturdy.
Had product shipped to local store. Recieved e-mail when package was received. Easy to get and had help loading in truck. Noticed bent edges on the corners when I unboxed cabinets. Took a few minutes to straighten out with block of wood and rubber mallet. Assembled by myself. First cabinet took approx 2 hours. Second took only about half the time. Looks great and the wheels make it easy to move around..

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Frank Should last a long time
Bought this cabinet to replace a white particle board unit that fell apart after 3 years. The assembly went smoothly. The pictures are a little course and could use some detail. All the pieces fit well. The shelves are strong enough for what I have to store. But realize that in no way is this cabinet designed for the heavy duty use of a commercial shop. I use it for storing car and garden supplies. It looks good and should be easy to keep clean.
I would have given it five stars but one of the sides had a small dent on the back corner. Rather than rebox and bring back to H.D. I was able to straighten it out. I can barely notice it now.
