I bought 13 gallons of this garbage. Don't do what I did. My husband and I just bought our first home and needed enough paint to paint the entire house. We bought 13 gallons of this paint in varying colors for each room. This paint in soooooooo watery it doesn't cover, and just drips and splashes horribly. You look at you wall wrong and the paint scratches and chips down to the old paint. The old paint is walmarts brand buy the way, and still looks brand new even though it's 15 years old. The old colors show through even after 3 coats. Will never buy Glidden paint again. And I am questioning Home Deopts judgement in selling such an inferior product.

Been painting as a craft artist and house painter for years ( not professionally, that just takes the fun out of it ) and I've always chosen the 'best on the market' paints, however, in the last year I've become extremely disappointed in the 5 gallon purchase of those paints, which market over $200.00. After buying a home, we wanted to do the painting right the first time, and when there is 5,500 square feet of walls, trim, cabinets and the such we wanted the best bang for our buck, we went with the brand we always go to for a project, however, that product seemed as though it had been watered down. We couldn't return it as it was a custom mix and tint therefor we were stuck with over $200.00 dollars of bad paint. Decided to use it through out the house anyways and what a mistake. After trying the second best paint on the market and being just as disappointed with the coverage, I decided on trying Glidden. I could just smack my forehead for not trying this earlier, always thought it was a 'cheap' paint. With my disappointed in all paints thinking cap on, I went to town attempting to cover the other guys' paint and I am not disappointed one bit. DUO covered the yellowing color of white in one coat and the application is consistent and a beautiful white. At this point I will never go back to the other guys, I will start reaching for Glidden. I applied the DUO paint to bead board with a medium density 6" roller.

I am a new homeowner of about 5 months. Two months ago, I started painting the entire place as part of my renovations. I chose Glidden 2 in 1 duo after liking a particular color that a friend had used on his place (which was glidden, I copied his paint). It's been two months since painting the main walls, and everything is holding up perfect! No peeling, no dripping issues. I bought more paint to paint my interior doors, and they are looking great. I'm pleased overall with Glidden paint. I would recommend this over HomeDepot's 'exclusive' line of paint. I used their exclusive line to paint my ceiling after removing the popcorn, and that top-end paint (white) just went on so thin. I plan to stick with Glidden for my future painting needs.

Paint drips no matter what you do. It dries quicker then you can cover the wall. I have so many places on my walls where the paint is peeling off, and this happened with in days. It is more like rubber then a good paint. Will never waste my money on this again!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by johns811 Pretty good paint so far.
I used the flat duo to paint on a 20 year old textured ceiling. It was probably painted or at least primed originally, honesty I don't remember. The paint was not hard to work with at all and covered very good. I was hoping 1 coat would be enough, possibly if I painted better maybe it would have. Most of it looks very good but you can see the roller marks where I over lapped. I think the 2nd coat will finish the job nicely. When I see the really negative reviews, I suspect the proper prep work (dulling a shinny finish) or some sort of adhesion issues with the previous surface. I have used Glidden paint before with great success. I recently used Sherwin Williams 200 paint and I would say the product are very similar quality.

This is the worst paint I have ever used. It does not cover. I have put two coats of white over some trim and doors that were pre-primed and it still looks bad. It does not flow well off of the brush either. I am throwing it away!!! Spend a little extra and get a good brand of paint.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MattG Literally the worst purchase of my life
I started painting my living room with Benjamin Moore paint, and had excellent results. When it was time to paint the trim though, I thought I might as well save a few bucks and get some cheaper paint, since I was just using white. Big mistake!!! It goes on so thin, that I tried to get more coverage by going over it again, but it just globs up. Then once it dried, I had to put on a second and third coat just to get complete coverage on this supposedly paint and primer in one. I can't imagine a worse fate than having to paint for eternity with this paint.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by jerrymc Excellent One-Coat Paint!
I've read reviews of various paint brands and never believed that one paint would cover with one coat even though that's what marketing/advertising would say.
I decided to give the new Glidden Duo paint a try just because it was a couple dollars less and I've used Glidden before with good results. I had HD tint it to the Behr color I wanted and got home and rolled it on my large master bath. At first I could see the under coat primer, which was a flat light tobacco color, then when it completely dried, I was amazed!
I didn't need a second coat at all! I only used one (1) gallon for my entire master bath.(190 sqft), minus the ceiling, which I painted with an old pure white semi-gloss paint I had in my garage for years.
The results are GREAT! I will be buying this version of Glidden paint again!
