We would recommend waiting about 5 days before placing furniture on the floor. Please be careful not to drag the furniture either when placing it.

Hello,
For new concrete floors we recommend that the concrete cures for at least 30 days before painting. I have an old house with lots of exterior wood that has only ever been painted on the outside with oil-based paint. Can I use this paint as a general paint over those wood windows, wood trim, etc.

Answer:
Hello thank you for your inquiry. When it comes to painting previously painted exterior wood, surface prep is essential. We recommend lightly sanding the wood and cleaning, then let the surface dry prior to application. Using a primer may ensure both adhesion and sheen uniformity of the topcoat. If you have any additional questions give us a call at 1-800-Glidden!

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing & Ornery. I have used this paint for a number of applications, indoors and out. It is amazingly tough but can be difficult to work with. I have sprayed, rolled and brushed it on multiple surfaces with beautiful results. Being polyurethane, painted surfaces are sticky like glue until they cure. Plan on discarding whatever you use to apply this paint. This is my preferred exterior paint for shed, garage door, trim and other items. It is an fantastic finish but wear gloves and protection 'cause once it gets stuck on you, it doesn't want to come off. May 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never will use this product again Painted concrete floor which had been cured for over 6 months. Even after several weeks it still cannot really be walked on with shoes. Scratches extremely easy. June 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great coverage with beautiful results. Just repainted my porch with Downing Street, looks great! June 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product has a higher quality then I was expecting. I used this on my pool and deck. It is wonderful! It is more amazing then I was expecting I just love it! Putting a new front porch on and you better believe this is what I'm painting it with! July 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst floor paint out there This paint was applied to specs concrete was etched. Was applied months ago. Had issues right away called the rep deposit gave me the number for he referred to corporate they blamed it on moisture. I have been in the painting trade from 1968. Never have had a problem like this one. To date if I spill water on the painted floor it wrinkles up and you can scuff it off the floor like it never cured. And no support from the company August 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by best ever for this type of project Well...this went on so good, easy to spread & use without all that usual oil base dripping. Love the poly in it for durability. My metal steps look fabulous. Dries to touch in 4 hours, but left it for 24 without foot traffic to be safe. April 28, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by love our porch! I was skeptical when my wife said she wanted our porch floor boards painted white. We did it last summer, as the final stage of our exterior house painting: it looks a wears great! The siding is Glidden Blue-Grey Slate, and the white porch and trip give it a coastal cottage / colonial Americana look. The paint went on beautifully smooth, and cleans up easily with a quick hose spray. Other porch floor paints haven't been nearly so smooth to apply or durable. October 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good coverage Used Glidden porch and floor paint to cover a more expensive paint that failed in covering a basement floor. Glidden went on smooth with good coverage. The paint was oil based so there was quite a bit of odor and it does take a while to dry. I waited a few weeks before replacing furniture which is to be expected when painting a floor with oil base. Overall I was happy with the results. October 13, 2015
