How many years should this product last once applied. Is it a 5 yr 10 yr 15 yr paint?

Asked by: Anonymous
Depends on a lot of variables (prep work you do, kids, smokers, how good you apply, etc)... You will know when it is time to repaint when the time comes or when your wife tells you it is time to change colors...

I painted with Glidden essentials lemon ice 2 coats over royal blue. I first primed. Blue is still showing thru. Will premiumcover

Asked by: Kim
Hi Kim, It will work, but any time you use a yellow, red, or orange, the product will have less hide than a white paint will. As a result two coats (and possibly more) may be needed for appropriate hide.

1 gal. Pure White Eggshell Interior Paint is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 512.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from great stuff Just painted the entire interior of the house. We just moved in and wanted a clean slate. I like Glidden and have used it for years, I think it is the best on the cost/coat basis. Must believe it this is the third house I've used it in.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful coverage - waste of time and money I have used glidden high endurance many times w no issues. I happen to be refinishing my kitchen and chose a glidden from the hardware store since they did not have what I usually get. Figured glidden hadn't done me wrong before, why not! I ended up getting Glidden premium for both my cabinets and walls. My cabinets were primed with three layers of primer, FIVE coats of glidden premium (which claims to be a primer and paint) later they were still not white. On the walls I was two coats in and clearly would need another two coats. Instead of buying more of this I went to Walmart and got my trusty high endurance and it's all coming out beautifully. This selection of glidden is garbage unfortunately. It took me three times as much time (thinking it was the stain not the cabinets) to do something that easily would have been avoided if product worked as promised. Wish I would have done the walls first to see the poor quality of this paint. I spent almost a week trying to figure out what was going wron and why my cabinets weren't coming out white. Would have saved cost wrong in primer too had I known. First disappointment with glidden but definitely a very big waste of time and money. The store refuses to refund because it wasn't them that chose the paint or manufactured it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wouldn't give any stars but they made me. Not a good product by any means Tried painting off white trim with the flat white glidden when I tried to cover it the paint is so thin it looked like I was spilling milk on the wall. I'm extremely disappointed in the product because I spent twice as much on this paint hoping it would cover better than the cheap paint we had been using, boy was I wrong so I'm going back to the cheap paint

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I expected We purchased 3 gallons of this paint in charcoal coast and it was a lot darker than I expected and had more of a blue hue to it. I eventually adjusted to it because we couldn't return it. The problem is now I see areas of the paint is peeling off(in areas that don't have a lot of traffic) We have 4 kids, the gallons say that it's scrubbable and washable but I find that hard to believe considering the paint is peeling in areas that have not even been scrubbed or washed. I purchased this for that specific reason because we have little ones and it's necessary to be able to wash the walls now I'm going to be concerned that the paint will come off when I do wash it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a paint and primer One would expect a paint and primer to cover better. Covering a light blue with an orange. It was what was available for the color we wasted. I assumed they know what they were talking about and that it would cover. I still expected at least 2 coats. I've done three and it doesn't look like there's an end in sight. It's thin and drippy. Spend your money on something else. They need to stop labeling this as something with primer. I would take me 1 gallon to do 1 wall of a standard sized bedroom. I'm going to get a different brand and color because this is ridiculous.
