For me, Home Depot even did color matching from a paint swatch of another brand, when I wanted to switch to Glidden paint to repaint my house. I had an excellent experience with Glidden paint when I painted my house. It covered well, and went on easily with very little mess, and was nice and thick, not watery or drippy. Good choice, you'll be happy with your results.
One tip, keep your color swatch, and the color mix recipe sticker they give you when you get your paint mixed in a safe place, in case you need to get your color mixed in the future if you really like it. Ask them to print out an extra sticker for you, and staple it to your paint swatch card. They will put one on your paint can, but it usually gets paint on it, or fades after time. Also, when you get a color mixed, they will keep it in their computer for a certain amount of time I think also.
I'm just suggesting this, because I had damage to my house from a storm, and wanted to repaint it with the same color, and couldn't remember the color I used, and luckily, Home Depot still had that color active in their color swatches, and I was able to remember it after looking through their color swatches to jog my memory. I don't know how long they keep the color swatches active, but that's just a tip. Read Less

If you are looking for the color that goes with the color number you provided, GLG24, that color is called 'Frosted Pine'. It looks like it's a little bit darker than the 'Prairie Sage' and a bit more green. This one should also be able to go into a 5 gallon bucket, but, it may be a little too dark. I don't have access to the paint system so I'm not 100% sure if that one will be available in a 5 gallon bucket.
Typically, stores only have the white base and base 1 available in 5 gallon buckets. This means that the associate will only be able to tint light colors in to the 5 gallon buckets. However, they will be able to make 5 individual gallons of whichever color you choose.
I would advice going to your local Home Depot and seeing if the color you would like can be made into a 5 gallon bucket. If it cannot, you can work with the associate to see other colors that can be made in to a 5 gallon bucket and make your decision based on those colors.
Have a great day!

I had previously painted my deck and tried to remove it with multiple strip products, but no luck. Therefore we are painting again. I used to get Behr Porch Paint, but my store didn't have that and lady said this would work...will it or am I set up for further frustration? THANKS!

Hello we would recommend Glidden Porch & Floor paint for your project. Just remember to properly strip the surface of the previous paint you had applied, sand, and apply the paint in ideal weather conditions. If more questions give us a call at 1-800-GLIDDEN.

My home is a 48 yr old concrete block home in SW Florida. Mold has set in under the stucco, and it is flaking off. I intend to pressure wash w/bleach and scrape any loose stucco before painting. I plan to use a roller w/ a long nap to blend into any remaining stucco. I am disabled and on Social Security, & can't afford to buy a separate primer. Behr and Valspar have a paint & primer combo. Your input would be helpful.

Answer:
Hello Sandy,
We have an excellent Paint and Primer product called Glidden Duo but it is for interiors only. It was actually rated a Best Buy by a leading Consumer Magazine as well. We do not currently offer a Paint and Primer Exterior product.
We would ask that you take a look at the separate primers anyway. When using a separate primer, it will be easier to paint, go farther, and it will last longer. Read More

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by ext flat is the worst product after three coats of exterior flat (about 3 days apart) the last coat was still streaking on 3 exterior benches. After 4 days drying, I masked the contrasting joints with blue tape for painting another color. The masking tape was on for 4 hours and when I went to remove it, the three coats came off on the tape. Truly the worst product I have experienced in the last 30 years May 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great paint for any project I flip one or two homes every year and I always use Glidden paint for whatever project I am painting. It covers well and always looks great after drying. I have used both interior and exterior and have found they out perform all the other major brands. The Glidden Duo eggshell finish is great for interior walls, like the living room, bedrooms, and hallways. The Glidden Duo semi-gloss is great for the kitchens and bathrooms, The Gliddon premium works well as long as you use a primer first. The Gliddon exterior paint is great it covers well and holds up to extreme weather changes. July 17, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best value for your money and time I have used this product for 15 years and I continue to recommend this to all my friends and clients. This product is easy to roll or apply with brush. It covers and only requires one coat. I have tried several other brands even higher cost products but this one is superior for value and a professional looking job. I use both the exterior product and interior in satin to achieve a beautiful and lasting finish. I believe there is no other product for the value in the market. July 17, 2015
