5 gal. Ultra-Hide 440 Eggshell White Tint Base Interior Paint is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not good Not good paint for the price doesn't cover well at all, glidden premium is a much better choice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good and bad I have been painting professionally for 24 years, prefer Behr (it's #1) and was on a budget. I used this paint as a bargain on the walls of my own house because I'd never put Speedwall on my walls. After 30 days when the paint should be cured, if you try to wipe an area, it becomes shiny and raises the sheen level. However, it does touch up excellent but, don't expect to wash anything off without consequence. As far as coverage and leveling, it's fairly good for the price but, it must have gone up. I only paid $72 a 5. If you know how to paint, brushing covers pretty good but rolling will most likely be 2 coats unless a shade or 2 different than what you're going over. Overall, if you can scrape up the extra cash, buy Behr, it's the best period.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Coverage and Durable!!! I used this Glidden paint for my new interior walls and it covered perfectly! I like the quality of the paint and the colors that you can choose from. This paint goes on very easily and dries uniform and quick. So far it has held well against dirt and scratches. Our walls look very classy. Will buy again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from general contractor I purchased (2) 5 gallon semi gloss buckets in bright white for painting interior trim. Only reason I purchased it was HD offered a buy 1 get 1 free coupon for it. I am totally disappointed with the coverage of this paint. I was painting over pre-primed, white trim and it STILL required three coats to get acceptable hide. Completely unacceptable for a contractor as time is money and I am wasting too much time using this junk. I will keep the remaining paint for non-customer work like painting my garage walls. From now on I will stick to Benjamin Moore (BM) paints for most of my customer work. Well worth the few extra bucks per gallon. I have generally found that most of the home center paints are inferior to BM paints. if you open a contractor account at a BM retailer the difference in price is quite minimal. The best home center paints are still not as good as even the cheaper BM paints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good coverage over paneling I did a simple update to my 70's kitchen with chair rail paneling. First I primed the dark paneling to give a good base - but it was very streaky with the primer. The Glidden Ultra Coverage, in Sunbeam Yellow went over the primer perfectly. One coat and all looked smooth , covered and streak free! For the upper walls, I choose Glidden Buttercup in the regular interior eggshell finish. Everything looks great and my outdated dark paneled kitchen was transformed into a modern cottage kitchen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good price and gets the job done I have painted several rooms using different brands of paint. Glidden has performed better than some of the more expensive brands sold at other stores. Glidden covered with fewer coats and did not leave bubbles in the paint like the other brand did. I will definitely use Glidden again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Will not buy again. Purchased (2) 5 gal containers for use on an older home we recently purchased. Ultra-Hide? Not hardly - three coats later and I am very dissatisfied. Went back to HD and purchased 5 gal of the Killz at $23 a gallon. I should have spent the extra money up front, I would have saved a bundle. Killz was awesome! Guess I got what I paid for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product performance not as expected Product was marked especially for contractors. I am not sure what that meant..if the paint was thinner , or what but it wasn't less expensive. Might have been the paint contractor we used but the new walls the paint was used on required three coats of paint. Color and shine was as expected.
