Dimensions Faux 2 ft. x 4 ft. Glue-up Tin Style Black Ceiling Tile for Surface Mount

Frequently Bought Together

Product Overview

Easily glue up to any painted solid surface ceiling. Dimensions thermoformed panels replicate the look of tin tiles. Our 2 ft. x 4 ft. faux tin tiles are available in a matte black styrene which you can install as-is in white, or inexpensively paint any color to match your decor. This allows you to achieve the same look as metal panels for a fraction of the cost. Time is also saved with the ease of installation because they are light weight and easy to work with, simply glue-up your ceiling and cut effortlessly with a scissors. Our panels are ready to install right out of the box, unlike tin ceiling tiles which need to be painted to prevent rusting, making these a perfect choice for your next DIY project. Why use more of your valuable time and money when you can save and it's impossible to tell the difference after installation with six designs and seven available colors, you're sure to find something you like. In addition to matte white; aged copper, black, brass, bronze, nickel and copper are also available. Plus, you have the ability to paint our panels, giving you an individual touch that no one can recreate. We've noticed the specialty finishes such as 'hammered' or 'metallic' spray paints turn out stunning. You're only limited by your imagination. This design has a 6 in. repeat pattern and looks good in small or large areas.

  • Easy glue up to any solid painted ceiling surface, all panels overlap eliminating seams and the need to buy additional materials
  • Made of durable 0.020 thick styrene; these tiles will not rust, stain, corrode and are not affected by water or humidity
  • Crisp and clean lightweight detailed panels offer the look of real tin tiles
  • Solid colored styrene is easy to install, cut with a scissors and glue over any solid surface

If not, can I remove the tile and glue to the furring strips which are spaced 12 inches apart? Or would I need to cover with quarter inch plywood first?

I had a small linen closet removed from the bathroom and it left the bathroom ceiling looking bad. There were already other areas of concern in the ceiling due to previous owner's DIY attempts. I want to use these tiles to cover those issues but do not want to worry about mold growing between the ceiling surface and the tiles. Do I seal it with clear silicon caulking or what?

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Doesn't stick Beautiful alternative to more expensive tin, but no glues recommended would hold this up. Had to use staples! Very tough installation for a DIY. July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst purchase ever I would not recommend this product. It was being applied with the recommended glue ,which does not dry as fast as it says,so if you don't apply pressure for quite a lengthy period of time,it won't stick. needless to say, after it looked like it was going to stick,it came down. i threw this garbage out !! June 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Far from seamless The fit on the edges with the dot/line garbage is very, very far from seamless, looks great from one angle and horrible from the other angle. Purchased 17 tiles, regret it already. Will never purchase this garbage again. September 30, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap alternative to an old cracked ceiling. My 1930's cracked and patched dining room ceiling now looks smart and eye catching. Definitely a two person project, you will use a lot of glue so I recommend an automatic dispenser rather than a manual one. The overlapping seams do not lie completely flat but in ridges across the ceiling. Corners are 4 layers and may require special attention as they are very prominent to the eye. Not as good a finish as the individual tiles but much faster to install and cheaper. June 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good product for money It looks great once installed but have to be sure to check edge alignment before glue sets. Also not sure why installation instructions say to stay back from edges by 3/4" because sometimes seams will not lay like they should. I will be going to glue some of the edges down to make it look to my liking. July 14, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Versitile I used this for a backsplash in my kitchen. Easy to work with, cut, and put up with acoustic tile adhesive. Looks sturdier than it actually is. March 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product I installed the ceiling tiles on the wall behind the stove and as a backsplash. I am going to layer shades of white paint and lightly sandback. Easy to install and it doesn't look like plastic. Super lightweight! February 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy breezy Easy to use, light weight and looks great. My parents saw it, loved it and will be putting it in their living room. February 10, 2015
