Answer:
The lamp accepts up to 60W. If you require addition intensity, a 26W / 100W low energy saver equivalent bulb may be used.

I use one of the lamps on the standalone counter in the kitchen when a prepare foods. The lighting covers the counter top sufficiently by area and lighting intensity without using the ceiling light.

Will this lamp accommodate a 15W LED flood light bulb? The mouth of the lamp looks narrow.

35 in. Heavy Base Architect Black Swing Arm Desk Lamp is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Paper weight The heavy base base makes a great paper weight and the light works. Everything on it is cheap. The knobs to tighten the degree for the direction on the light broke and so did other pieces. Mane good if you are not going to move it much but NOT if you work on many sides of your desk.

The lamp's webpage states the switch is on the base, it is not, it is on the top of the lamp. Just above the bottom of the swing arm there is a screw that must be removed before the swing arm will function correctly; there is also a screw and nut at the bottom of the swing arm that must be removed to enable full travel of the arm. None of these are mentioned on the box or instructions. The base is not heavy enough to hold the lamp when the swing arm is fully extended, I had to add a lead weight. The lamp will fulfill my purpose but only because I am using an LED bulb, an incandescent bulb would eventually destroy the switch.

I ordered 2 of these and they clearly indicated that the switch was on the base of the lamp. This is not so, the switch is on the top of the bulb shade. I returned one with no problems from Home Depot but had to go to Walmart to find exactly what I needed. Very misleading. I kept one as it serves my purpose of a desk lamp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent value, but two locking screws need to be removed Good looking, very functional, and an excellent value. However, for the folding mechanism to work, two screws have to be removed from the bottom of the mechanism. This is nowhere documented. These screws appear to have been added to the existing good design at the insistence of a lawyer to prevent possible tipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Need to remove 5 screws from arm mechanish Lamp looks great and works great, but only if two locking screws are removed from the lower arm. When I got the lamp, the angle of the lower arm was frozen, even though the arm was clearly designed for bending. It appears that two looking screws were added to prevent possible tipping of the lamp. Remove these two screws, and it's a five star lamp which can deliver even light from 18" above the desk surface, with no glare from an exposed light bulb.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not A fashion statement, but they work. I was surprised when I received the 8 that I bought that the dome that covers the bulb is quite larger than it appears to be in the photos. Overall, they are rather clunky looking, but that's just my subjective opinion. Important to know is that the lower half of the arm that comes up out of the base is not adjustable, meaning, you cannot make these lamps stand straight up. The bottom "leg" doesn't straighten any more that you see in the photos. The 2 springs shown on the lower leg are only decorations. I'm keeping them only because of the low price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Selection I positioned the lamp behind a computer monitor with the arm extending over the top of the monitor where it provides just the right lighting for the keyboard and the work copy holder. This worked out so well that I ordered a second lamp for the second computer.
