after reading some reviews I was skeptical about purchasing these fixtures. I recently renovated my kitchen/dining rooms and wanted to go with a vintage style pair of pendant lights to accent my new peninsula workspace. Originally I was going to settle for a similar style in store that was more than twice the price, but after checking the shelf for 3 weeks, they did not re stock the item. I decided to give these a try.
First of all, with all pendant lights, the cord that both powers the socket and hangs the globe is always going to be bent for the first few weeks until it settles in, no matter if it's a $200 fixture or a $10 one. I always tuck extra slack in the canopy and ceiling box so if you want to lower the fixture, you don't have to buy a new wire because it was cut too short.
Second, the glass is thin. One has a slight chip on the rim, the other a hair crack on the base. If you look at the glass it almost seems hand made, something I would expect in a vintage fixture. I like it, it gives it character, which is why I purchased a vintage style fixture in the first place.
This fixture pairs well with the old style 40w bulbs to finish off the vintage look which I was looking for. These fixtures work best in a standard round ceiling box. Pancake boxes do not give you much room for extra wire to be tucked away. I am thoroughly happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone who enjoys this style of fixture for a bargain price.

Purchased these fixtures (4 of them) for a log Cabin which was built in the early 1900's for pioneers traveling west in wagon trains. These pendants are perfect for adding needed light as well as a touch of class to a sweet, historical site.

I bought these because I was going for the industrial look in my Kitchen, however I didn't feel these look very industrial. The brass finish on the top of the light and on the decorative screws is similar to a cheap old lamp and ruins the whole piece. The whole thing should be the same vintage brown color. I also hated the sphere shaped screws for the ceiling plate, they look like a mistake. Unfortunately it is very difficult to notice in the picture. Since they were so cheap (Black Friday Deal) I considered spray painting over the awful brass but decided to return them. On the positive side, they were very easy to install and seem to be decent quality.

This light fixture is almost exactly what you expect.....we were a little confused about how the glass went on, but got it in the end, the screws that you see are just for show and don't actually do anything. But once the fixture is up you can't even tell. My husband and I put two up in about an hour, so easy install.....and we even had to adjust the length of the wires, pretty simple. They work fine and look great!

I can see what the others mean about it not hanging straight...however it is very, very minimal and I think adds character with the edison bulbs. I bought LED edison bulbs from Home Depot and thought they were quite yellow looking. Unfortunately home depot does not offer white light edison bulbs.

We get compliments all the time on these light fixtures. They do sit a little crooked. It adds to the rustic ambiance we enjoy.

This light is cheap and that's all there is to it. I thought i could save some money by buying a cheaper version of a light i saw in pottery barn. I already cut the cord and hung it up and i regret it so much. The quality is just not up to par. The attachment of the glass to the base of the light is always crooked. It is obvious even standing from 3 feet away. The glass on this light (which is the main point) is not blown properly. This light just looks so cheap and cheapens everything else i have in the house. I got all my other lights from pottery barn and west elm. So in comparison, this light is very bad quality. Vintage lights are tricky. All the paint color and glasses have to come together to look right. Spend a little more if you can for something that will stay in your house for a long time. This light is just too basic if you need elegance.
