These lights are a perfect example of getting what you pay for. They are very cheap by every measure. Also, the dimensions provided include the finial and base so bear in mind they are VERY SMALL lights. I was very disappointed and wasn't able to use them.

My lights are mounted on wooden billets rather than metal. I was able to drill small holes for the supplied machine screws to attach to the billets.

This item is what I needed , my yard pole lamp broke and in most cases for me to replace the lamp I had to buy pole and lamp together but at Home Depot I was able to replace only the lamp.

It's fine. Not as nice as my previous 50-year old American made one, of course, which was made with heavier and thicker metal. But it should be fine and should last for many years. Fit was good to my 3" post. One minor issue. The light came with bolts, not pointed screws, like they assume you are bolting it into pre-drilled, pre-threaded holes. I had accidently backed into and wrecked my old lamppost which dated back to 1969, so I had installed a new post. The new post did not have pre-drilled holes, so I had to drill my own holes and use black-colored sheet metal screws to attach the light. But having said that, the operation went very smoothly. In fact, that might be better, since you can then set the light exactly how you want it on the post. Not sure if pre-drilled holes would have necessarily lined it up the way I wanted it (actually of course, the way my wife wanted it...)
