I ask some question yesterday on the 30 watt solar panel . I was confused on the answers. 1 my load is going to be .39 watts at 12vdc fans I plan on put 6 of these fans on the 30 watt solar panel witch gives me2.34 amps (. amps x volts = watts ) 2.34 x 12v= 28.08 watts. will this work. 2. to get to a location of full sun I'm 150 feet from my load what size wire do I need. this 8mm doesn't m3ean nothing to me. walk to my wire size. 3. I can use less fans if 6 is to many. bernie

Answer:
For running that many fans I would recommend only using 3 at a time per panel. The 8mm is the size of the barrel jack plug at comes attached to the panel. The 8mm plug is proprietary to Goal Zero power packs. They do not have a 110V plug. The 6' and 30' extension cables will help you reach that 150 foot distance.

Answer:
The Boulder 30 Solar panel is rated at 30 Watt. It's open circuit voltage is 18-20V, and it's cell type is monocrystalline. The solar port is a 8mm barrel jack. 14-16 Volt, up to 2.0A with a 30 Watt max, not regulated. Goal Zero makes a 6' and 30' 8mm extention cables to help you reach whatever distance you need.
